Carson Palmer is traded for, if they draft a QB. Which by the way they did draft a QB. Ricky will be resigned Miami will sign a high profile interior agent. David Garrard is going to be signed by Indy midseason. ....
They did try to trade for Carson Palmer. They spent MONTHS trying to work Cincy's asking price down to a level they were comfortable with. Ross negotiated personally with Mike Brown. Brown wouldn't budge on his asking price, and then Oakland blew all other offers away with two 1st round picks. How is this chalked up as a miss in your view? I don't get that. This is sort of half-and-half. Ricky left of his own accord, despite the Dolphins making him an offer. Marc Colombo is high profile. Just not in a good way. This one I'll give you, but at the same time, no one here is claiming that Enduro knows about the Colts' inner workings. Just that he's clued in to what Jeff Ireland is doing.
So he hit on 1 on 4? Anyone could have predicted Palmer as well, it wasn't that far fetched. Ricky wasnt going to be resigned no matter what, and the rest of his predictions were garbage. I would have been impressed if he predicted getting Jimmy Wilson, signing Kevin Burnett, or even calling that he would pass over Mallet 3 times. But again, enduro didnt.
This is my last post on the matter as I believe that we see things differently and there is nothing you are going to say that is going to change my mind as there is nothing that I am going to say that is going to change your mind. There are a lot of factors that go into the Fins having a worse record this year then in the past two. IMO, the chief one is/was Sparano. The guy was a moron of colossal proportions and is the main reason the Fins failed this season. Secondly, I am not going to judge Ireland on a single season as that is just flat out stupid. IMO, that is the same as judging a draft after a single season. Fact of the matter is that we are not going to know if Ireland is a good GM or if the 2011 draft was a good draft for a couple years. As for your third paragraph, I am glad that Ross is not letting the fans run the team. Frankly, (again) Ireland has forgotten more about football then all of us arm chair GM's combined. Just because 95% of your buddies want Ireland gone does not mean that you and your buddies are right. even if you bought tickets for 40 years in a row... peace!
