Let's go colts! If colts lose they will officially get the #1 pick. http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/12/22/col...nf-loss-to-texans/?module=HP11_headline_stack
Just for you Paul, I am at the game trying to throw some Dolphins mojo out there. On the 20,first row on the Texans sideline. GO Colts!
I can say this, the intensity level on the sideline from the offensive coaches and the defense as a whole is something to behold. Peyton is everywhere, it really reaffirms my belief that Peyton, and only Peyton is the true leader of this team, not Caldwell, who appears to be a statue.
If Peyton did have that intense competitive fire, he would probably be named HC on March 8th or whatever that day is, if he just retired.
Jim Caldwell the coach who took Manning out to stop them from trying for the undefeated season. And got the Jets in the playoffs. This guy is not a coach.
Let's be honest here, a windup cymbal crashing monkey could be the HC of the Colts with Manning as the QB. Hell, an OC should have to pay for the privilege to learn from Peyton Manning.....
What an awful, awful call. The Colts look pretty much deflated after that one... game looks all but over IMO.
Vikings get first pick they draft luck, no? If they dont forget to get their pick in on time that is Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
I hope so. But of you believe the hype that luck is the next manning why not take your chance and let them fight it out. Either way i rather see vikes get him then colts Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
Vikes might like Ponder, but they should draft Luck. Anyways any team can move up a pay a steep price for the #1 pick. No matter what team gets it it will be steep.
Well well well... I woke up just in time to see the end. We may have been handed a reprieve. All is not lost... now the cost is going to be expensive. Will it be the Rams or Vikings at #1 who can be a trade partner for us? oh boy...
Couple things: 1. I'm not overly happy. Ireland will not trade up, so we arent getting Luck, unless Ross forces him which I don't think happens either. We can assume the Vikings will but who knows, maybe the Redskins do. Then we still wont get Luck, RG3 or Ponder. [I'm actually assuming the Rams get the top pick. I think maybe Vikes beat the stumbling Bears.) 2. If you could trade up would you? Think of it this way...wouldn't you trade your last 3 #1 draft picks for Andrew Luck? I would. I'm assuming he will be a top QB.
Yes... certainly if both of the other two teams win a game and the Colts lose next week, that puts them back at #1 and takes the SOS tiebreak out of the picture. The SOS is the most sort after stat since hoping the Pats would lose one a couple years ago...
Consecutive wins for the Colts have been at home. Jaguars next week on 1/1/12 in Jacksonville division game. It could be tough.
I've run the SOS% with a full 16 game projection. If the Colts finish tied with either St Louis or Minnesota, they are very likely to still pick #1 overall because their SOS% is much lower. (Edit: actually it's impossible for Minnesota or St Louis to get ahead of Indy based on their SOS tiebreaker) In other words, we need the Colts to beat the Jags next week to have a shot at seeing Indy out of that #1 overall. Minnesota has a home game next week vs Chicago which they conceivably could win. St. Louis has games against Pitt and San Fran, which they are likely to lose. In other words... it's still a long shot for Indy to not have the #1 overall.
Agreed. He has put up pretty good numbers, just has to lower the INTs a little which is a problem with most rookie QBs. I think the Vikings trade out of this pick and get one hell of a coupe if they do end up with the 1st overall pick.
You think they would be interested if we offer Jake Long and our 1st round pick? Kills two birds with one stone. I just don't know how the cap situation would work out and if it even is a possibility.
Colts still getting the number 1 pick. They would have to beat the Jags and Minnesota finishes out 0-2 for them to lose the first pick.
