Looks like we will be drafting a right tackle

I doubt we move up in the draft for luck or griffin and now that barkley is out i bet we draft a right tackle to soldify the line.
How dissapointing barkley didn't declare we might end up with the best line in the division but matt moore is not going to overtake tom brady in the division on his best day.
I can see us next year as a wildcard team but once again this will put us to far back in the draft to get somebody to compete with brady. This team is never going to win a superbowl in my lifetime how depressing.

Get a stud pass rusher opposite Wake. Aldon Smith looks like a terror in San Fran.

The problem is Matt Moore is only passing city buses, Yugos and Jalopy's.

I dont understand why people are just letting the age thing deter from giving Weeden who has a strong arm and a very quick release . i dont care if he isnt mobile i would hope we take Weeden and then draft a couple of olinemen and then take a tightend and a defensive end then we can win our division.

my other idea is to take WR Blackmon if avalable and then move up in rd and take Weeden there but we could use 2 more wr so we can use more 4 wr sets . this all is based on we have as head coach.

At least we're not trading up, passing on Matt Barkley, to draft said right tackle...

Yes, the only way we could possibly compete with the Patriots is drafting Mark Barkley. Excellent contribution, brother!

I agree only way they get on the Patriots level is to find a franchise quarterback. Backup quarterbacks are not going to get them in the playoffs.

Will be interesting to see if Ossweiler declares now. Barring his absence, we will need to make a decision in regards to Tannehill and Weeden. If they are out, the pick will likely come down to pass rusher or wideout.

An Aldon Smith/Von Miller type could give this defense a nice boost. I would say safety, but I don't know if any will be projected in the top 15.

You title the thread as though it were something horrible. There is a buttload of excellent offensive linemen coming out this year, and it's the area where our offense is weakest.

Yea, I thought this was our year to finally get one and we ****ed that up doing what everybody on this site wanted them to do win pointless games to drop us down in the draft. Now we can't even get griffin without giving up our entire draft.I hope everybody is happy.

Yeah, some of these cat's are just content with getting hurt. So they dress up backups and talk them up as starters. I'm not happy with backups as starters. I wanna make multiple playoffs runs and go to/win Superbowls. If a player is not good enough you cut ties.

The Dolphins get screwed again. And we'll probably go 8-8 or 9-7 next season and miss out on Barkley then, too.

I think we can get to 10-6 next year but thats not going to get the qb to get us to the next level unless we luck out like the stinking pats. And we haven't exactly been lucky lately.
And yes matt more is playing like the 10th ranked qb this year but thats not good enough in this qb driven league.I want to win a superbowl not be a borderline wildcard team.
I would like to draft weeden in a later round and give him a shot and not reach for somebody like landry jones in the first round.

Ur kidding right,I know jake long is a great player but how did that pick work out for us,fluke 11-5,7-9,7-9,probally 5 -11.What don't you understand to win year in and year out in this league you need a franchise qb.Ask the colts, pats, steelers why they have been in the playoffs every year.I betcha they don't say its because of thier lineman.Hell the colts finally won thier first game without manning in week 15.Give me a break.

Matt Moore is decent QB who has shown that he can lead his team to victory against the other weak sisters of the NFL. He has not shown that he is capable of being the type of QB who can take the Dolphins to the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl. Perhaps I will view him differently if he has great games against the Patriots and Jets over the next two weeks. Until I see him play a good game against a quality team, I will not accept that he is anything but a quality backup in the NFL.

Well Mark Barkley is a heck of a player. Mark Barkley is one of those players on such an unreal level that when they get on the field they do things no one has ever seen before. His inconceivable skills are only rivaled by RGIII and Luck.

Not saying i could control it but I got tired of hearing how bad a fan I was for cheering for a better draft pick to get a qb.I really like griiffin and we didn't need the first pick to get him but the 8th or later pick is not going to get him.

Allow me to introduce you to something called "learned helplessness." :no:If you kick a dog in the ribs enough times....it stops responding to the noxious stimuli. Unfortunately, being a fins fan requires this adept skill. You just have to roll with the punches. Call me crazy but I bet if we drafted Luck something freaking unlucky would happen to this kid. His arm would fall off or he would just suck ballz!:pity:

In all seriousness, we are screwed but I still hope we beat the snot out of the patsies and jests.

You're right though..It will be next to impossible to get Luck or RG3. I sure hope Irish knows what he's doing for this '12 draft. Try not to laugh!!

Thats who I wanted last year if it wasnt going to be a QB and I was shot down by some saying he wouldnt have enough impact. Riiiiiight

Id still be on board with getting another pass rusher. In my opinion if you cant get a QB, and you already have a guy to protect the QB which we do in Long, then you get the guy to crush the other teams QB. Quinton Couples come on down to Miami :)

I just want us to draft a playmaker. If it's a defensive playmaker that would be great! Morris Claiborne would be a hell of a steal for us. Either way an intruiging prospect is going to fall to us. Alshon Jeffrey, Malcolm Floyd, Luke Kuechly, or possibly Trent Richardson.

I don't see this class being quite as special without Barkley to be honest. While I might take some flack for this I am not 100% sold on Griffin III, Tannehill, or anyone else after that. I absolutely love Luck and Weeden, but honestly I don't think I would draft Weeden in the 1st round based on his age. People view the age thing differently, but to me it is a big deal. The draft is like investing, if you invest in Weeden's stock it won't pay dividends as long as another QB...

I would love taking Weeden in round 2 if he is there though.

I will be just as happy if we use our first round pick to draft a (draft position worthy) RT, WR, OLB, TE, or FS/SS. Even if we can't snag a QB, any of those positions would help us tremendously and I'd be happy. If we're looking at drafting a RG/LG or a less-top10 worthy pick on the other positions I would like to trade down but much easier said than done.

We'll see what happens but can't wait for April, and, more importantly, can't wait to surprise the Patsies this weekend!

It wasn't those who wanted to win,

If anyone hijacked a subversive effort for Luck, it was the rampant chorus of suck for luckers, who wouldn't stfu, and were ultimately being heard around the league.
If they would have kept their traps down to a low roar, any potential effort might have proceeded unnoticed, in step with the lowflying, first pick veteran, laydown artists over at Indy.

Perhaps its no coincedence, the team suddenly stepped up, at the height of the campaign notoriety, and began winning.
The way it works is suffering begets sympathy, sympathy begets benevolence. The Suck for Luck activists failed to understand this basic concept, as they failed to even consider a policy of discretion.
In place of solumn regret, were proclamations to LOSE when the team was already losing.
It drew an equally shameless response from the local media, and ballooned. Such a discredit to the team, could have easily prompted a call from the league office.
