The rumors are that we are getting Undertaker-HHH part 3 at Wrestlemania. My guess is it will be another career match as I am sure Undertaker is going to be all, "D00d, you totally had ur chance twice and epic fail. Gonna need moar motivation, gimme ur career."

Also, Cena-Rock and the rumor is Jericho-Punk...which would most likely be enough to get my money.

Heard an interesting rumor/theory that the returning superstar on 1/2/12 will be Shane and Stephanie McMahon since in the latest promo the little boy talked about how when she says my name I'll be back (I'm paraphrasing obviously) and they showed a little girl in the background. Definitely interesting if it was Shane but I kind of doubt it.

Once Mark Henry roughed him up after the match it seemed inevitable that Daniel Bryan was coming out. A couple of guys in the row in front of me also saw it coming.

I think Ricardo Rodriguez took the biggest bump of the night. From a ladder top over the top rope and through a table. They opened with the Ziggler/Ryder match and I thought it was one of the better ones of the evening. I really don't know why they feel they have to put Orton over just about everybody. This was a good opportunity to give Barrett a try as a top heel, instead he predictably ate an RKO.

Nothing spectacular happened tonight but it was still a fun show. Until they decide to bring Wrestlemania to M&T Bank stadium I'll take what I can get.

No matter what happens in the 6 man main event tonight, these 6 men are the ones the WWE should be building the future with.

I miss the good old days when Kane couldn't/didn't talk. What a boring/terrible promo to close RAW. Why now put it in the middle of the show and let Punk close it in his hometown?

The WWE probably piped in those chants. Some live reports from last night stated the crowd wasn't responding to the promo and almost everyone just sat there.

Orton got hurt last night at the Smackdown tapings. Some kind of disc injury with his back, no word on when/if he's going to miss time.

That sounds pretty rough. I'm not a huge Orton fan obviously but that's a shame when those things happen. It could be time for Sheamus to step into the top face role on that show for a while.

Agreed on all accounts. I never want to see someone get hurt, whether it's in a "real" sport or in wrestling. Like you said, I think Sheamus will step into Orton's spot and feud with Barrett until the Rumble, where I'd guess he'd be the odds on favorite to win the Rumble and beat Bryan or whoever is the champ at WM.

I haven't been a big Sheamus fan in the past, and I'm still not really a fan of his but he's been over with the crowd since turning face. He probably deserves another shot.

I'm on the fence with Sheamus. He seems fairly charismatic but something is missing. They haven't bothered putting him into any kind of significant storyline for a while now. I guess Christian's injury messed up their previous plans and they've been a little confused as to what to do with him. At the PPV the other day he was basically put into a meaningless bathroom break match with Jack Swagger. I hope they feud him with Barrett and play up the Irish vs. English thing. They need to be smart and use Sheamus to ultimately put Barrett over as the top heel on the show. Mark Henry has proven capable of being top heel but his career is winding down so I'm hoping Barrett steps into the role.

I don't think Sheamus is much on the mike and his in ring work is average (although for a guy his size probably above average) but you're right there is something missing with him. He has a unique look, obviously, but I don't know why but I just can't get into him or his character. Maybe because of how badly the WWE messed with him once he won the WWE title from Cena a few years ago, I don't know.

As for Barrett, I was pretty high on him but he hasn't done much since he's moved to Smackdown, I think guys like Ziggler and Rhodes overlapped him in terms of the next wave of heels. I still think Barrett has a future ahead of him but he needs something new to do.

Jericho is supposedly in Tennessee tonight, flew in to Nashville. Raw is being held in Memphis. He has addressed the photo and said its a fake and is having fun with it on Twitter. I assume the videos are for him at this point, but it wouldn't surprise me if he is used as a red herring, or if they "officially" belong to someone else, only to have Jericho interrupt. Either way, his presence should be felt tonight on Raw.

Awesome seeing Jericho back, you could tell he was having the time of his life out there. Also think it was great he didn't say a word, he got his face pop, didn't say a word and let the crowd turn on him. And now it's time to continue being a heel which his character works the best as. Loved seeing the WWE/Jericho do something new and unique.

Hopefully this leads to Punk vs. Jericho at WM.

The over self-indulgent Rake Bit by Jericho was pretty damned funny. I was actually going ot be osmewhat disappointed if he came out and did his canned routine that he has done a few times in the past, so it was a grand touch to simply let his own grandiose adoration of himself be affirmed by the crowd, and then slowly burn into a "WTH?" kind of moment.

My guess is they will have him do the same exact thing next week and probably speak in week 3 of his return. At least...that is my hope, as the crowd next week will tire VERY quickly.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Brock shows up at the Rumble.

I'm liking what they are doing with Truth/Miz, to be honest.

I think they missed a huge oppurtunity with Kane. Honestly, I just didn't see why they don't have Kane torment Mark Henry for putting him out of action then saddle him up with a pathetic excuse of a storyline with Cena.

WWE got Y2J return perfect. The promo accomplished what it was suppose to. You went from loving him, happy to see him being back to being annoyed at the end. I know I did. Towards the end I was like come on already... Good job WWE. Jericho owned all the fans, i cant wait for him to turn heel! And I would also love it for him to come out next week and do the same thing!

The Kane stuff was awful. I actually thought that they were going to turn Cena tonight by having Kane sit out the match, Cena/Ryder win like they did, Kane comes out, and Cena/Kane just DECIMATE Ryder. Cena comes out the next week and cuts a promo talking about the fans, etc. etc.,

But instead we got hocus pocus and 'splosions.

    Wrestlecrap.

There were some positives though. I think the Jericho thing has the ability to be great. I am thinking an Andy Kaufman inspired character with this one. Trolling fans and working them into a frenzy by doing things that exact opposite of what they want. Hopefully this is the case, or something similar to it as it would be, yet another level of brilliance form Jericho.

Jericho has always stated that he doesn't want to come back and keep doing the same things. If he were to come back it was because he thought of a new twist for his character so I'm thinking we'll be seeing the Jeri-troll for awhile now. It's ok with me though as anytime Jericho is on TV is fine with me.

And yes the Kane/Cena stuff is completely dumb and silly.

I thought the return was great. I know it upset a lot of people because he kind of mocked them, but some are just mad they got trolled. Jericho has been one of my favorite superstars for years and I don't care how he returns as long as he's back. Heel Jericho is a lot better than face Jericho.

The interview they did with Jericho on wwe.com was pretty funny too. They ask him questions and he just smiles at the interviewer. Then they ask him to say SOMETHING...and he turns on his jacket. LOL.

Also, since I am a nerd and know too much about pro wrestling, this charcacter isn't EXACTLY groundbreaking. Michael Modest did a somewhat similar character in Pro Wrestling Noah, although the circumstances around his version are MUCH different than Jericho's.

Also, I would love, for some reason, to see Goldust get involved with his brother to the point of possibly having a sendoff IC match against Cody at Wrestlemania. It would make sense considering the relationship between Goldie and Booker T as well. Bring Dusty out to ref the match and have him call it right down the middle. A complete family affair. Could be interesting, no?

Loved the Jericho return. I even found myself getting annoyed and I have loved the guy for years. WWE can breathe easy, they have a truly great heel to put opposite Punk at Wrestlemania now.

Seriously, I want to know how the heck did they pull out the whole Kane/Cena storyline out of their rear. I mean, honestly, it should have been simple.

I mean, seriously, how hard could it be to screw up? A Kane/Mark Henry feud would have made a whole lot more sense. Seriously, they could have done something with those two, like what they are doing with Truth/Miz.

I would love that to be honest, and I think Goldust will have a match with Cody at some point soon because of the whole booker angle.. Goldust deserves a good send off imo. The guy deserves it.

Not at WM. I'd rather Rhodes wrestle someone that's relevant and could get heat with and help out. If they want to do it at the Rumble or the Feb PPV I'd be all for it but why waste a spot in a high profile match with Goldust, I mean when was the last time he was even on TV? Give his spot to someone that would actually benefit from the match. I don't think Cody claiming he ended Goldust's career anything that would boost his standing in the fans' eyes.

It does seem strange, especially since they teased The Big Show turning too recently but it might be the best thing for Bryan if he wants to keep the title and head into WM as the champ, especially since the WWE was heading towards giving Orton the RR win and for him to win the belt at WM (this was before his injury so things might have changed between now and then).

Anyway if I were booking this would be my WM card, of course everything is subject to change due to injuries etc but I'd go with:

Cena vs. The Rock as the main event
Punk vs. Jericho for the WWE title
Bryan (as a heel) vs. Sheamus for the WHC
Cody Rhodes vs. Zack Ryder in a IC for US title unification match
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (assuming the WWE could sign Brock and get him to job to Taker)
    Triple H vs. The Miz
The Big Show vs. Shaq O'Neal
    Kane vs. Mark Henry
Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio (assuming both guys are healthy by then, I honestly don't remember their status)
    Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler
Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger & Wade Barrett for the WWE tag titles (just a way to get all 4 men on the show)
Christian vs. R-Truth (again just to get both guys on the card)
Random Diva match because again the WWE needs one of those

Since it would be Wrestlemania would the Diva match run longer than the usual 30 seconds? :shifty:

That looks like a pretty good card.

If it was my perfect card, there wouldn't be a Diva match. No offense to the women in the WWE today but I don't care to see them wrestle ever, I just doesn't do anything for me. Now if they brought back Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria etc in their primes by all means. But other than Beth Phoenix and to a lesser extend Nayatlia Neidhart none of them can work.
