I think Miami will even have to trade up to get him if they are at 6....now that teams know how much his is gonna cost both in terms of picks, and money....I think you are going to see alot of teams deal this year...

Currently 6th, but all but one team in the top 5 has drafted a QB in the 1st rd in the last 2 years (and most are from last year), so they should all be open to trading down a little (and if they don't trade they likely won't take a QB anyway).
Indy - They win #1 overall pick, the bastards. Time to root for them to continue to lose. Would be a super-bummer if they beat Jax. St. Louis - I don't see them winning another game with @SF, @SEA, Cinci, @Pitt Minnesota - They could win one game with Den, @DET, NOLA, @Wash, Chicago Jax - Will likely beat the Colts in week 16. Carolina - They got a tough schedule, but they play Tampa twice.
Eh, Washington, Cleveland, and Seattle are the only teams I'm real concerned about. They are the "competition" right now. Maybe Arizona, but I doubt they'd trade up for a QB.
According to playoffstatus.com, the final PROJECTED spot for the Dolphins would be #7. They're projecting right now as follows: 1. Indianapolis 1-15 (.540) 2. Minnesota 3-13 (.560) 3. St Louis 3-13 (.570) 4. Carolina 4-12 (.520) 5. Jacksonville 5-11 (.500) 6. Kansas City 5-11 (.520) 7. Miami 5-11 (.520) 8. Cleveland 5-11 (.530) 9. Washington 6-10 (.460) 10. Arizona 6-10 (.470) 11. Philadelphia 6-10 (.500) 12. Seattle 6-10 (.520)
I am more worried about other teams moving up, Washington, Cleveland, Seattle plus I bet a few surprise teams will all be looking to upgrade this offseason at the QB position.... Even Jax is in all out lose mode, I don't care what the GM thinks/says about Gabbert, if Barkley is there, it is going to be hard not to take him...... I am going out on a limb here and saying if Miami truly wants Barkley even if they are at say 4 or 5, I believe they will have to move up......ESPECIALLY will Seattle around....Carroll is a USC guy, known to be aggressive with the draft....basically I guess what I am saying is Miami needs to start losing somemore....
Shanahan will work hard to trade with IND for Luck .... and you know Schneider will support. CLE might not try for Luck ... but they will work hard at top 5 for one of the other 2 ....
for Luck mos def, for Bark, I'am not sure yet damn it..lol..If we draft him I will of course support him and be excited, because he does have a lot of QB skill, but he's the kind of prospect where I just need to see on an NFL field before my concerns would go away.
DJ, if you trade up with Minnesota and give up first rounder in 2012 and 2013 for Barkley, you're really only trading away your 2013 first rounder. You're not "giving up" your 2012 pick if you use it to trade up.
Clearly they are the biggest competition, but it would be nice for a few teams to pass us. Much easier to trade up 1-2 slots to the #2 overall than 4-5 or more. Assuming ofc we even need to - the Cards/Vikes may stand pat as it is and take BPA. Probably Kalil for Rams (protect Bradford) and Blackmon to the Vikes (weapon for Ponder). Then again, I am high on Barkley right now, and anything that helps land him makes me happy.
A QB is required full stop. Whatever steps are required (in the draft) to get a decent one must be taken. Trade your life away. The QB is the most important position.
This was hugeeeeee!!!! If I had to guess who makes a big play on Barkley, it would be Seattle..... They need a QB, Carroll/Barkley are USC guys, and as well Carroll is known to be hyper-aggressive in the draft.....whereever he lands I believe he throws or tries to throw a monkey wrench into the Barkley plans...
This.... If St.Louis doesnt take Blackmon, their GM should be fired......and killed.... http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/34987/good-news-dolphins-barkley-thinking-nfl 5....come on Carlson please dont screw up!!
Thru yesterday's games....and up to tonights MNF game.... Miami's 4th WIN of the season over Raiders will most likely send Miami's draft position into double digits for now.
Miami's quality of play will most likely send Miami's draft position into double digits. Just confirms the folly of fawning over the number one overall pick a month or so ago imo.
Folly? I disagree. When we were 0-5, Suck 4 Luck was a fun diversion. The team truly sucked back in October. All us Suck 4 Luckers were embracing the suckitude.
One had to make the presumption that a 2 loss or worse season was likely and that to me was the folly part.
We are currently 8th in draft order, we beat the Eagles, then we move into the teens. "Sorry" fellas.
As of 12/6/11: According to playoffstatus.com, the final PROJECTED spot for the Dolphins would be #7. They're projecting right now as follows: 1. Indianapolis 1-15 (.550) 2. Minnesota 3-13 (.560) 3. St Louis 3-13 (.570) 4. Washington 5-11 (.460) 5. Carolina 5-11 (.510) 6. Jacksonville 5-11 (.510) 7. Miami 5-11 (.520) 8. Cleveland 5-11 (.540) 9. Philadelphia 6-10 (.500) 10. Kansas City 6-10 (.520) 11. San Diego 6-10 (.530) 12. Tampa Bay 6-10 (.540) 13. Arizona 7-9 (.470) 14. Seattle 7-9 (.510)
Washington PLUS the possibility that there are 6 spots higher than us where another team (Seattle, Cleveland, etc) could trade UP to leapfrog us.
I don't think Jacksonville will draft a QB in the first. But I also don't think Miami will pick that early. I don't agree withe projection. I think that this team is likely to win two or three more games and end up picking 8th - 16th.
Indianapolis’ magic number to earn the #1 pick at the 2012 draft is down to just such that the Colts could actually lock up the pick this weekend if they lose at Baltimore, while both Minnesota and St. Louis win their games. Minnesota is playing at Detroit, while St. Louis visits Seattle on Monday night. In that scenario, the Colts could still mathematically tie Minnesota and/or St. Louis if they somehow managed to win their three remaining games, but the Colts plays a much easier schedule than the Vikings or Rams and would still get the top pick if they tied either at 3-13. Meanwhile, in the only game today involving teams currently sitting on top 10 picks at the upcoming draft, Tampa Bay, which would pick 10th were the draft held today, is at Jacksonville which would pick 4th. 2012 FIRST-ROUND DRAFT SELECTION ORDER As of week 13 December 6, 2011

 Team W-L Opp W-L %

1 Indianapolis 0-12 .547

2 Minnesota 2-10 .568

3 St. Louis 2-10 .578

4 Jacksonville 3-9 .505

5 Washington 4-8 .453

6 Philadelphia 4-8 .495

7 Carolina 4-8 .500

8 Miami 4-8 .521

9 Cleveland 4-8 .531

10 Tampa Bay 4-8 .542

11 Arizona 5-7 .469

12 Seattle 5-7 .510

13 Buffalo 5-7 .516

14 Kansas City 5-7 .521

15 San Diego 5-7 .516

I see the Dolphins maybe beating the Bills and finishing the season 5-11. That should put an end to those who think Sparano and Ireland should remain. It will also clearly show that Matt Moore is really nothing but an adequate backup in the NFL and not the future starter many on here seem to think he can be. I think Miami will be drafting in the first six picks and if that means they have to trade up to get RG111, they should be willing to what is necessary to ensure they get him. I think offering St Louis our first round picks in 2012 and 2013, plus a second round pick in 2012 should be enough to make the trade with the Rams.
We are going 4-12. At this point I hope we go 4-12. That could leave us at #5 or #6. Pick Matt Barkley and fix the offensive line in free agency. We need a right tackle obviously. We need a solid swing tackle (Murtha?) for depth. We need a guard who can push for a starting job on the interior. Vernon Carey appears done. Go get another tight end who can make plays. I'm not going to cheer for losses because damn it I'd love to stick it to the Jets but in the long term, screwing the Jets out of a playoff spot is a moral victory, I want actual victories and the only way that is going to happen is if we find a long term answer at quarterback and fix this offensive line.
quit acting like your opinion of sparano and moore was any different than most, most of us knew Sparano would be gone unless he won out, and most of us know Matt moore doesn't change us drafting a QB with our first round pick.
