One of these teams' seasons will end today. Methinks it will be Buffalo. They can't win a road game to save their life.
NE could still collapse and be 7-9. Miami could win out and be 8-8 and take the division. but frankly, i hope they tie.
Of course the Bills would completely botch a kickoff with no strong winds, to basically gift the Jets a Touchdown.
of course the fans would boo their elite 15 million dollar quarterback who is gonna lead them to the superbowl for the third time this year.
Fitzpatrick missed Stevie Johnson in the back of the end zone -AND- on the last play of the game. Had he made either of those throws (or Johnson catch that earlier slant) the jets would be toast. Oh well!
Stevie Johnson and Fitz had multiple opportunities to win that game. What a shame, I was kind of pulling for Buffalo in this one. Their final record may not end up being any better than ours.
Jets D almost let them down. Should have let them down. Damn the Bills for not making a play at the end. So many chances. I will be absolutely shocked if this Jets team does anything in the playoffs IF they even get there that is.
Can't wait to hear the media spin on this one. "Rex Ryan is a genius for giving Brunell some first team snaps and Sanchez is the best young QB in the NFL. The Jets are Super Bowl contenders once again." Never mind that the Bills have a sub-par defense that made Matt Moore look like Tom Brady. That and if this game were in Buffalo the Jets could very well have lost since they struggle on the road.
I was at the bar for the game and too busy to watch the game. I know I caught a breief glimpse of it in the 4th while the Jets were still losing and Saw sanchez on the sidelines arguing with another team mate. Loked like a bit of an internal meltdown. Did not make out who it was he was beefing with. Did any of you catch it and know what it was about? Was it just a minor thing or are they imploding?
here's a recap of the 4th quarter.
The celebration really wasn't funny and I'd say that even if I weren't a jets fan. It was in poor taste. Johnson dropping a pass that would have probably won the game but instead most likely put a fork in Buffalo's season is proof that Karma exists. He should concentrate more on becoming a better receiver and less on his celebrations. -Ed- sent from my mobile device
Kinda like Holmes' annoying "1st down" stance after every catch...regardless of the score, huh? Hadda do it Bick.
Lets all remember where the celebration stems from. Plaxico Burress is rich, a millionaire, stud super bowl winning wide reciever, and he brings a ****ing loaded gun with no safety on into a night club and SHOOTS HIMSELF in the leg. Plax is a ****ing moron. Why go somewhere where you feel you need a gun on you for protection? Hire a body guard. Throw a party at your gigantic mansion. What if he shot someone else? What if he died? What Stevie Johnson made fun of was not crossing any lines. I found the celebration hilarious. Not like he made fun of someone that was actually a victim. Plax was put in federal prison, he was/is a criminal.
I am not disagreeing with the fact that Plaxico is an idiot. I just think it is in poor taste for a colleague to try and publicly humiliate him. And when you say, "Lets all remember where the celebration stems from.", it stems from Steve Johnson's need for attention - nothing more - nothing less. That is why he did it. I can't remember if the Bills and Eagles have played yet, but Johnson should have a TD celebration queued up that mimics Vick killing a dog. No difference from the what he did against the Jets. Right?
All celebrations are some sort of attention grabbing. This is the nfl, its entertainment.....the PC crowd is hilarious these days. Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg, Stevie Johnson made fun of it. It's nothing more than that. It's funny. The Vick comparison is totally off base because what Vick did was torture, inhumane and disgusting. What Plax did was just idiotic.
