A small scene from Embers has hit the internet If This isnt being viewed by Desmond in the Animus, then Ezio can still die right? He does have the Cough of Death.
Yes. I don't think this is an Animus memory, this is an actual "live" look at Ezio's last days. Also, TV Tropes? Really? That site is ridiculously pedantic.

Considering that most movies based on videogames tend to suck I cant blame Ubisoft for protecting its asset. Plus you know some director would say "So its about the past? Lets throw in Dinosaurs!"

Ubisoft CEO: "Major" AC game coming in 2012 Spoiler alert: it's Assassin's Creed 3, even though Guillemot doesn't say so.
I refuse to watch those videos. So who's buying the game tomorrow? I'm still torn on whether to get it for PS3 now or wait for the PC version next month. I'm probably going to cave and play it throughout the Thanksgiving week, since I have most of it off.
Nice to see some midnight launching. I'll probably cave on my way home tomorrow and download rips of the bonus content.
I'm a little behind on Assassins Creed. Just ordered Brotherhood. Not to take the thread off topic, but how is it compared to the first 2 games?
Better. I mean it does everything the 1st two do, but better. There's some other new things you can do that you can't do in others.
Totally called it. Just got home with my copy. Need to update my PS3 (haven't turned it on in months) and then it's Assassinception time.
AT work now, but played it for 6 straight hours last night. Everything i hoped it would be, cant wait to go home for another long session. Enjoy!
Is it me or does Spoiler subject 16 sound like Ryan Reynolds? I havent gotten into the multiplayer yet, I'll probably give that a shot later tonight.
Taking a quick break to have a late dinner. Game is pretty good so far. The hook blade and the Assassin's dens (aka tower defense) are nice additions to the series.
I'm about to. Not very happy with how you have to collect yet another 100 items to get the Desmond missions. I was under the impression they'd be part of the story; that you had to complete a Desmond mission to get him stable enough mentally to play through more Ezio memories.
I did the first and somehow the third, never got to the second for whatever reason. Might go back and do them later. Anyway, I just beat the game. The ending… well, if you didn't know what the series was about before, you will now. Fantastic setup for Assassin's Creed 3. They weren't kidding about "Revelations". A lot of questions were answered and a lot of gaps were filled in, especially character backstory. Time to watch Embers.
Spoiler I finally finished the game. I loved that there was an actual functioning, advanced civilization prior to our current timeline. Also towards the end of the destruction shown did that look like an assassin coming towards the woman with a baby? I loved all the Altair episodes, just fantastic backstory telling. i had hoped that the bloodline link between the three would have been settled and something on Eve. One thing I havent done, but plan on is the desmond episodes. Do they answer anything more?
Spoiler I think the man was the woman's husband. That was my read on it, anyway. The Desmond episodes just fill in his backstory. I never played through them all. I'm sure they're up on YouTube if you're curious, but I can't imagine they fill in anything regarding series backstory, just Desmond's backstory.
Spoiler Kind of what i assumed with seeing Desmonds dad, there. His dad kinda looked like ezio i thought.
Spoiler They may have used Desmond's face and aged it for his father. Altaïr, Ezio, and Desmond are all modeled on the same face, actor Francisco Randez. Weird, though, that Subject 16/Clay is also a descendant of Altaïr and Ezio, but of course looks totally different. And is Polish.
Spoiler YEs very weird. It is interesting to the game has taken a full force turn from the first game and keeping Abstergo from retrieving the Apples and controlling civilization to now saving civilization from destruction at the hands of nature, which of course has been hinted on from the AC1.
Damn me for opening this thread.... I don't even think I finished the last one "Brotherhood"... how do I know if I finished the main story or not?
