Thing that drives me nutz about the TiCats is if you look at their starting lineup, position by position, and they have as good of players as anyone in the CFL.

BC showed the blueprint for beating them, pressure up the middle from the DT's, when they lost McIntyre to the Jest that really hurt their pass rush, but Rob Rose looked explosive as anyone in the league later in the yr.

Just on offence though, Cobourne, Williams, McDaniel, Kelly, they probably should not have given away Mo Mann and Arland Bruce and why they are trying to use Stevie Baggs as a LB is beyond me.

I'll have a write up on CFL to NFL guys in December once CFL FA starts, but the 2012 crop is probably as good, if not better, especially with Julius Williams and Marcus Howard hitting FA, best prospects at making the jump since Chick and Baggs in 2010.

    And the mighty Al's fall!!!!

Great matchups upcoming as both teams in the West, and the East, play very similar styles of football with great undercurrents

-Edmonton DC Rich Stubler was BC's "Dline Coach" in 2010
-Jerome Messam (who it would not surprise me if he headed South) was traded by BC after a group of Vets told Wally Buono to get rid of him after yet another incident

    In the East:

-2 fmr Dolphins on the TiCats, Chris Williams and Rob Rose (who is beasting in the CFL)
-Wpg plays a similar style to Hamilton, mostly physical athletes just beating the opponent physically

Qb controversies with Glenn and Buck Pierce both having their understudy's playing better then they did, and both are likely to get hit a lot by the opposing Defence.

I suspect Marcus Thigpen has a huge game for Hamilton.

    Any predictions?

BC vs Hamilton in the Grey Cup!

Hamilton will finally get over the Winnipeg hump this season and BC will beat Edmonton with the GC at home this year.

Football is Football, right now Hamilton's Qb's are better then Wpg's Qb's, and Lulay had a MOP season so:

    -Ticats v BC

Great Grey Cup matchup setting up...Wpg v BC...

Defence, Lulay is on point, BC is shredding fools, Wpg is just insanely fast on Defence.

A couple of Dolphins angles on this one:

-yes that is the same Chris Williams who looked good for the Dolphins in the preseason until the punt stoinked off of his facemask
-Wade also signed Cam Wake while working with BC.

Fmr Patriots Dline Coach Randy Melvin credited with improving BC lions defense:

    http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/Lions+look+simplify+football+into+word/5769754/story.html

Mitchell is one of the players who has an excellent opportunity to make the jump to the NFL, he was a Singletary project in SF, when he left, Mitchell was a guy without a team, but went to the CFL simply because he wanted to play rather then wait for a phone call.

Lots of stories about how brutally explosive a player he can be, Wally B was trying to freeze him by keeping him on the practice squad and..well..we'll see where he ends up.

    8. I think this was an embarrassing lead-up to the Grey Cup, which was played Sunday in Vancouver (British Columbia 34, Winnipeg 23). Remember Joe Kapp? He was the scrambling, gambling quarterback brought to the Minnesota Vikings in the late '60s from the Canadian Football League. Kapp led the '69 Vikings to the Super Bowl, which they lost to Kansas City.

Well, Kapp punched out a guy at a Canadian Football League luncheon in Vancouver Friday. Seems that Kapp held a 48-year grudge against Angelo Mosca stemming from the 1963 Grey Cup. Kapp quarterbacked the B.C. Lions in '63, and Mosca was a defensive lineman for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. During the game, Mosca slammed into B.C. running back Willie Fleming after he was clearly down, injuring him and creating years (decades, really) of ill will between the Lions and the Ti-Cats. Kapp never forgot.

Both men are 73 now. Mosca walks with the aid of a cane. At a luncheon to benefit indigent retired CFL players Friday, with both men on a stage, Kapp waved a flower in Mosca's face, apparently following some unkind words from Mosca. Mosca swung his cane and hit Kapp in the head. Kapp took a step toward Mosca and punched him off the back of the stage.
