http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/11/11/three-to-focus-on-redskins-dolphins/ Well, I've glanced at the overall stats as well, and we are close to the Redskins in several categories, they rush the passer better then we do, but #10 vs #5, we are Top 10 in scoring D, so are they, we run the ball well, 12th in the NFL, they throw the ball fairly well at 17th, their pass D is in the mid teens, but their run d is bottom 5, our pass d is bottom 5, but our run d is top ten. We are ranked 20th in Returns, they are ranked 19th. So to me the storyline for this one is whether or not our improvement over the last 3 games continues, making PFF's overall stats somewhat meaningless, or whether we return to mean performance.
IMO, their injuries will have a bigger impact than ours. They won't be able to run against us and if we can generate even a decent pass rush, we win
Worst coverage in the league Huh?....... Boy that Sean Smith has really stepped up his game ya know.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtazTM_ixkY Watch the last play on this highlight clip {the play where YBell gets flagged for a good hit} and tell me what this dude was thinking... Sean Smith fans, please tell me that this kid still has the potential?
Well, way I see it, two young aggressive OLB's who like to get up field, that is the perfect recipe for screen pases to Reggie and Clay.
IMHO with the injuries, the SKINS are the 2d worst team in the league behind only INDY. They have been absolulely terrible the last couple weeks. We 'should' win this game about as easily as last weeks game ... this may be our only other win (which i doubt) ... but we should without a doubt win the game on SUN.
agreed. let's hope Daboll keeps this ship rolling. He's utilized Clay and Bush very well IMO the last two weeks, and it's why we've played much better.
yeah he got beat alright, personally, I believe the corner position requires a body that has fast twitch fibers in it. I don't think he has enough fast twitch in his body to get it done, consistently at least, and were probably seeing why tall corners fail 99 percent of the time.
You realize that Sean Smith makes up for a quarter of the secondary, right? Jimmy Wilson isn't ready for primetime yet (not that he is expected to be), Yeremiah Bell is an overrated strong safety who is more of a linebacker than a safety, and Reshad Jones blows. Tyrone Culver blows too for that matter. The real question is, why the hell isn't Chris Clemons starting? Your Sean Smith hatred is getting out of hand, IMO.
One advantage that the Redskins have is that it is at Miami where the Dolphins have struggled and if the humidity is up we will see who has the better conditioning. It would be nice to see the Dolphins finally overcome the difficulties they have had at home.
Good opportunity for Pouncey to show what he can do out on the edge of the formation with those types of screen plays.
lol,my hatred is getting out of hand...Thats funny Grid..are you the secondary police? When you talk and act like you the sh%$, you better back it up with something..My take on him as a football player is not hatred, the next play he makes this year will be his first.
before it was ronnie................ and I don't think I hate anyone on this team really. If griddles was on the team. I would definately hate him.
wrong again, loved ronnie brown when he got here, believed in his abilities and thought he had all the talent in the world, but when you abuse that talent that you were born with, and don't do everything possible to enhance it for yourself and your employer, I'am gonna call you out.
Eh, well, imo what has happened to SS24 is he has moved from second fiddle to prima donna, he draws the toughest assignments now with VD out, and what comes with that is...both good and bad. Welcome to the Big Time SS24.
no idea what your talking about..once again, imo, I feel like the corner position requires a certain amount of fast twitch musculature, I don't see that in Sean, and I see the lack of it continuing to put him into bad positions, which is usually a trailing one..and, when you act like a kid on the field, you have no room for error.
only because Vontae has not been on the field, cause when their both on the field, there is no competition.
DJ didn´t hate ronnie, he actually praised him quite a bit, just when he showed up out of shape he was called out
No, not true, Davis has been bad when on the field, bad (this year), if you want to call out Smith, you cannot do it without calling out Davis. And I'm not even including the Davis hungover thing in the argument.
NJ, when healthy I would bet there isn't a gm in the league that would take sean smiths one dimensional game over Vontae.
Imo, VD has not been right all yr long, he came into camp out of shape and it hurt his game. I disagree with DJ on this one, imo SS has played fairly well, considering there was little passrush and craptacular FS play from No Show Jones and YBell.
Davis has more talent imo. he is one of the few guys to have success against the Randy Moss and Tom Brady combo. He just needs to get his head back in it
Sean has been our best, most consistent secondary player this season, or perhaps I should say our least worst, because nobody has done very well.
