I hope he takes the rest of the year off so that he will be healthy for the next regime when we have a franchise QB worth making an effort for.

Jake Long has been wasted in a fruitless effort to make this team better. He has been underwhelming this year due to nagging injuries.Hopefully he can recover from them and be able to contribute to the next regime.

Long and Pouncey plus a franchise QB will make this team attractive for any potential future head coach .

Usually a new regime would have to invest 2 or 3 drafts to be able to fill those spots .This new regime has the base for a good if not great offensive line and together with a good QB and a good HC we will be well on our way to the playoffs in a shorter period of time than most think.

I thought it was just merely coincidental that he came out in the 4th quarter at the most crucial of moments.

I'd hold him out of the lineup if there's even a chance of the injury getting worse. no point in risking it this season, he's too valuable to our future.

He's a solid player. Put him on IR.

Disagree: if he's healthy, he should play. He's only played 7 games in the NFL. He needs the experience so he can keep Andrew Luck upright. Lord knows the rest of our interior line sucks monkey balls.

I hope he gets healthy and finishes out his rookie year. It's not like the o-line is masterful with him (not knocking Pouncey, he's been the best).

I'm glad there's no damage but I would still shut he and Jake Long down for the rest of the season. Injured Reserve.

i'm with CK ... Long without a doubt should go on IR now ... give Pouncey a week off and see where he is - as he does need some reps for next year, but if he needs rest -- put him on IR as well and let him get stronger and healthy for next year.

Garner did a decent job at G ... but that leaves us in a bind at T ... again, grab Kopa off NEs PS and let him learn on the fly. He just can't be worse than Colombo anyway.

Agreed. With a good-VG QB, the existing talent, and a TON of cap space, our team could easily turn around within 2 years.

I'm thinking the same. IF healthy, he needs the experience. Pouncey has hit a big bump in the road, and is being over-powered of late. He needs to add about 10 pounds of muscle, which I'm sure he will do before next season.

While I like Pouncey, I agree with you, needs a little more weight. What makes me laugh is the people keeping the stats. Pouncey has given up at least and no less, then 3 sacks this year. Anyone who DVR the game look at it again. On once play the DT was heads up on Pouncey, swimmed moved him and went directly to sack on Moore.

But. look at any stat records at any site and I pay for all of them, not a single one has a sack recorded for Pouncey, not a one which is a farce. Look the kid is a good football player but once again the all hallowed media and everyone else is doing everything in their power to over amp the player ( Tim Tebow, by far is the worst all time example) as I said, Pouncey is doinr pretty good. Him, Incognito and Jake are doing a decent job. As I said though, Pouncey has given up sacks this year but its gone into the classification of ? well, it went in the same classification that records sacks allowed by RBs andTEs because they missed their assignment. In other words, its just buried as " Sacks allowed " and it ends there. You look at what is recorded for each Olinemans sack total and you will magically find there is about a dozen sacks that were not given to,,,,,, anyone. Pouncey is among those " anyones "

Sorry Mom, but PFF has Pouncey down for 2 sacks allowed. Guess you're paying for the wrong ones, and not all.

LMAO ,the single one I did not pay for this year. I usually follow Stats LLC which the NFL goes to for its stats and that still has him at zero, which we all know is wrong. Local media and news has just mentioned, I believe last week, that Pouncey has not given up a sack this year and he sure he heck gave up one big one on Sunday. Thank You for that info, At least one place is not blind. I gave up Fantasy football this year for the first time in over 10 years. Thanks again

I take that back, Stats LLC finally listed 1 sack, just checked it, this morning it was still at zero. Thanks again.
