This may be irrelevant right now but i found it interesting and worth mentioning. The same rule that lost us the game vs the Steelers last year, which was a pretty big game to get our momentum really goin, just occured in the Chiefs game but was ruled differently. The Chargers sacked Cassel and he fumbled but it was ruled a forward pass and the play was blown dead before any chaos over the loose ball. Chargers challenged it and i was thinking '"this is just like our game last year, this challenge is pointless because the play was blown dead which means they dont have 'sufficient evidence of who recovered the ball' eventhough it was clear that the Chargers did" well ironically the official comes out and says the play is reversed Chargers ball. What the f***!? what a bunch of BS. So is this "rule" even a "rule" or do they just make them as they go?

How about the offensive P.I on Gates? Officiating has sucked *** of late, games are being changed by 50+ year old jackasses.

Also, how about the pushing off call on Marshall? That was a BS call as well.

How about we just accept that officials are human beings and are imperfect. The Miami Dolphins suck independent of the officials.

I believe that there was a rule change this year that allowed for the ball to be awarded to the other team if it is clear that they immediately recovered it. The ruling in our game is what inspired it. So it's actually the NFL acknowledging a ruling that f'd a team in the a and fixing it. I say good on them.

This is the worst-officiated game I've seen in 40 years of watching football.

The missed calls, the non-calls; guys getting pulled down literally by their facemasks, Receivers getting arm-tackled before the ball is even there, TDs that are clearly TDs not counted; more holds than I've ever seen in one game.

The NFL should hang its head in shame after this one.

Honestly, I can't even think of anything else to say. Referees suffer very little consequences for calling a bad game. I mean, seriously, suspend a ref. Fine a ref. Do something.

If we are going to do that, then we should eliminate instant replay and keep the game going rather than upsetting the flow of play - signed Jon Gruden.

How about officials can determine the outcome of a game and it is a relevant conversation - in any sport. We accept that they are human, but why are they not held accountable for poor decisions like every other profession? They botch a call and it is all "oh well, they are human, team x misses the playoffs. What can you do".

A referee's decision can change the outcome of a game. Add in the fact they are getting PAID to make the RIGHT call, they should be held accountable.
