Why do you hate his wife? And the blond annoys me. So you didn't get to kill yourself. Boo hoo now quit being emo and go kill some zombies Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
I was never a huge Shane fan, but this weeks episode takes the cake. I hope he is next on the zombie menu.
It definitely was cold blooded. However when faced with not only his life, but the life of a child he deeply cares about that Otis shot, I think he made a a difficult but entirely realistic choice in this crazy world. I hate shane however and wouldn't care if he did die.
I think Shane is a douche, but I don't blame him for what he did. Every time I watch the show, I think he resembles Mark Sanchez a little bit... which makes me dislike him more.
It seems like the show was just a filler. Shane doing that at the end was the only part that mattered. The rest was just blah.
I absolutely agree. I was also surprised the episode was only 30 minutes. Weren't they all an hour before. Here's my list on people I want dead. 1) Old chick. If I was Rick and she gave me that **** about getting her kid lost I'd be like "*****, I was the only ****er trying to do anything and your kid couldn't even listen to me. I didn't see your *** try and save her how dare you have a bad thing to say about me." She needs to die asap. 2) Blonde chick. What's been said before. Emo, annoying, Die already please. 3) Little girl. Without her we wouldn't be "Wasting a quarter of the season in this kid stuff" how are you not going to wait at least 5-10 minutes to pop your head out when the zombie's are doing a death march damn near on top of you. Idiot, just like your mom. 4) Rick's wife. Do you really have to open your mouth and do that quiver every single time you cry. She did it last night again and I was like "again?!?" lmao but really she's low on the list she is a little too emo for my taste as well. I could care less if Shane dies but he's done a lot of good for the group as well. Before I found out he killed Otis the way he did I was rooting for him to live though.
Seems like the writers are having a hard time filling a 13 episode season (as opposed to last year's six episode season). Certainly need more action to keep interest up. Also, trouble with having kids in a TV series is that they get old quickly and outgrow the show. Wouldn't surprise me to see them killed off. I like the blond chick because she's hot. I also like the farmer's daughter, because she's totally hot.
I assume you guys have seen the sneak peek for next weeks episode? I wonder what the deal with the baby zombie in the well is. From what it looks like, the "farmers daughter" sends the Asian kid down the well, and there is a zombie baby down there. I bet these people have some deep dark secret they aren't sharing.
Agreed... I'm still watching religiously, but I want more. Shane and blondie hooking up was a nice touch though.
If **** doesnt pick up at the mid-season finale (wtf?) I am done with it. This season has been better than nyquil putting me to sleep.
Finally an episode that reminded me why I love the show. And man what an ending, obvious why they spent all those shows on the search. Forcing an emotional commitment on you to Sophie. Why did they have to wait til mid season, looks like the second half of the season should be great.
I have enjoyed this show since it started, lastnights ending was a good twist and gut wrenching. It justified the build up to this point. It drove home that walkers; like Hershell said; no matter if they are sick or dead, they are still someone they knew. When Shopie came out of that barn; I knew right then and there Shane would punk out and Rick would once again man up. I hope someone kicks Shanes ***.
Didn't see that one coming. Also didn't know it was Sophie until her mom started to freak out. Anybody actually recognize her as Sophie prior to that? I mean, they slow mo'd on her first and I was thinking to myself, there's a reason they are doing a slow mo, this is a dramatic moment, I should know who this is.... nope nothing
Anyone get the feeling this is headed towards a "The Stand" type direction, with Shane the "evil one" and Rick the "good one"?
An interesting thought. In the original story line, Ricks son shot Shane in the woods when Shane aimed his rifle at his dad. Where it goes from here is anyones guess.
As soon as they showed her legs I knew it was her. Leads to some interesting things for next season. First, if you remember when they were rounding up those two walkers in the stream someone said "Otis used to do this," so obviously if Shane hadn't shot him they'd have known she was there. Two...when Dale called the things in the barn "walkers," Hershel said they were people, and he knew them. Obviously, he had to have known one of them was the little girl they were looking for. I'm also still waiting for Morgan and Duane to reappear...and for Merle's presence to be felt again. Next season should be interesting.
Eh, my wife knew it was her too... only because of her shirt, which she has seen on sale before at Kohls. But she brought up the same thing about Hershel and how he must have known she was in there. February is a long wait.
BTW, if you know someone that wants to get into the show but hasn't seen any of the first season AMC is actually replaying ALL previous episodes on New Year's Eve. Every episode from the first season plus all of this season's episodes will be shown in succession.
How much time passed between Rick losing the girl, and Rick's kid getting shot? Because, it would seem like there wasn't enough time for her to be attacked and turned and Otis to find her, capture her, bring her back to the farm, then go out hunting and shoot the deer and the kid. Or maybe there was enough time. If there wasn't, then someone else found the girl after they knew she was being looked for.
Have to think it was the farmer/kid who said "it's happened again" to Hershel. He must have been the one to find Sophia. Now, the question I have is that Daryl saw evidence of Sophia being shacked up in that house/pantry. Do you think she was bitten before that (remember the walker they cut into his stomach?), somehow made it there, and then turned into a walker before Daryl got there?
On the Talking Dead which aired after Sundays show, the EP confirmed that Otis is the one who put her in the barn. Herschel probably didn't know since as he said in the episode that it was Otis' job. He obviously put her in there before he shot Carl. And by my recollection it was at least a full day between her disappearance and Carl getting shot. Spoiler and if what I heard by accident is true, that the Dr at the CDC told Rick that everyone is infected, but it doesn't take hold until after death. That would mean that Sophia dying from anything from hyperthermia to a snake bite to drowning in that creek would have resulted in her being turned.
Hey Firesole... Spoiler You're correct about the CDC, but watch the episode again. Sophia's shoulder is all torn to ****. Looks like a walker got her.
Spoiler Has the CDC thing been confirmed? i heard to rumor way back when the episode aired but hadnt seen much since. They said they would address it qucikly this season but didnt when they had the chance. And yes Sophia was definitely bitten.
Spoiler Im not suggesting she didn't get bit. I believe she did. I was just saying that the writers are basically free to write her death any way they want, since the TV version is deviating from the comic storyline If you haven't watched the talking dead shows I suggest you do. They delve into this stuff alot with writers and producers
I don't think anything is ever confirmed until it airs on tv. But with that said, I came across 2 photos of Sophia on a different forum (1 from episode 1, 1 from episode 7) and was pretty pissed off about learning that before it aired.
Lennie James (Morgan) just ended his stint on Hung by the looks of that last episode. So I expect him to show up fairly soon when the episodes return. I love me some Lennie James. He's awesome in nearly everything he does (Jericho, Human Target, Hung).
