    Love his show.

I could care less what Mike and Mike say about the Dolphins. One is a huge Jet fan and the other is merely a has been NFL player who will say anything to create talk about his show. The fact is that the smartest thing the Dolphins could do now is to tank the rest of this season. This team is going nowhere in the foreseeable future without a franchise QB. The one sure franchise QB available in the draft is Luck. While quarterbacks like Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley may turn out to be franchise type QB's, the overall consensus is that Luck is about as much of a sure thing at the QB position has come out of college since Manning, or Elway.

While some on here done want the Dolphins to tank this season and be able to draft Luck. It will be these same individuals a few years from now who will be writing on here that in hindsight they wish the Dolphins had gotten Luck in the draft.

They are morons. It's clear the Dolphins are trying. The Colts....that's another story. David Garrard would've helped them. It's baffling why they didn't go for him...the owner probably wants Luck OR wants to get a ton of draft picks for him and deep down is hoping they lose.

I have a feeling the Colts would trade 1st pick for like 3 1st rounders and 2 2nds or something...try and win another Super Bowl with Manning in next 4 years.

lets hope that scenario is not with the dolphins

Very disappointed in Sparano falling apart like he is. I will support him to the end though and I will never root against the phins.....Luck or not

It is obvious the players are trying. The coaching is just not there. Nolan I am very disappointed in as well. Better pass rush for part of the game. Then JT and Wake got tired we had no answer...that is coaching and scheme.

SFL isnt tanking on purpose....SFL is Fans praying they secure Andrew Luck in the draft. Thats it....Suck to Secure Luck from a fan's perspective.

Has ZERO to do with play on field and what the PLAYERS and COACHES actually control. Fans do not control the play on the field.

Cowherd has said, yes, rooting for your team to IMPROVE by acquiring the best possible talent is smart move.

If the play on the field equates to that, so be it...nothing we can do.

I get the tanking on purpose part. From a fan perspective I just cannot ever "hope" the Phins loose. I saw the writing on the wall at the end of the second quarter when they marched down the field and scored, making it 14-10. I knew we were going to loose. Even so I didn't stop rooting. I have just become numb now so loosing doesn't really bother me anymore like it used to. I would break sh*t before.

I'm happy with a close loss like this. Shows we have enough talent to almost be there, but are missing key elements, namely: Franchise QB and coaching. If we had those two things, I'd bet we beat the Browns, Broncos, Giants, and possibly Chargers. Maybe even Jets, that game we had golden opportunities in the first half, and had to kick FGs or turned the ball over in the red zone. It's a Game Changer. That's why we're so high on Luck. (Yes, we need to fix O-Line and Secondary, but Franchise QB and a Great coaching staff? BIG improvement right away.)

We'll hopefully be getting both in 2012. But we need to go 1-15 at least. We have to keep watching the Colts though.

Tanking a season is like fixing games! Fans can root for this team to lose all they want. Players better not...

Real team fans don't want their team to loose...never...

What Miami fans want and need is to see Tony fired... right now... this week...

Put some players on the bench and cut some for their poor performance, put one of the coaching staff as an interim HC and tell the players that they are all playing for a job next year...

I don't mind them sucking, but they are not that bad to suck, they are just quitting... period... and the team needs a kick in the you know what...

This clinches it. As a real fan I'll root for this team to go undefeated the rest of the way, end up 9-7, land mediocre talent in the draft and it'll be business as usual next year.

The colts were 10-6 last year and won their division. Now, they lay down more than Paris Hilton. They are playing like the weakest and softest team in league history.

No one bats an eye at that pack of broads?

The way they have played, what gives you the impression that they will win more than a few games???

I guess that the sky would be falling if SFL really ends up on the Phins and we still cannot win games years in the future, even with new management...

Not like the Bengals, Detroit and others have been mediocre or worst for so many years, even after getting so many low round picks...

and How bout that Fitzpatrick guy who is starting for the Bills... a 7th rounder...

and that guy Brady... 6th rounder...

Somehow everyone is guaranteeing that SFL and a new coaching change will make the Dolphins winners again... that would be real nice... but...

for every Brady, Manning, Marino there are also the likes of Harrington, Carr, Ware, Russel, Leaf, George and others...

These guys were the next can't miss...the guarantee franchise QBs... and how did they do???

Personally i don't care who we get. But damn it's about time for us to get a damn QB. Henne is not it. Give me one of the top three and we should be good. With this group they will draft a punter!

I think David Carr and Jeff George were definitely labeled as "can't miss" by the sports media. But who cares..I'll be pissed if we don't get Luck!!! BTW,
add me to that list for SFL.

That's not true. People had doubts about Tedford guys (Akili Smith, Trent Dilfer) before Carr was drafted. Didn't help that he played behind a historically bad offensive line that wrecked his confidence. I think the hype surrounding Luck is unprecedented though. Never seen anything like this.

  21. If we do get Luck Ross needs to make sure he hires a staff that wont ruin his development in the NFL. I would trust this current staff to handle him.

After watching Luck a bunch of times I would feel incredibly duped and shocked if he failed in the NFL. I don't care about the media and their misses on Carr and how they questioned Newton. I look to the media to try and get information on the other potential QBs...but you never know. Marino came to us at 27th, Elway went first in that draft...2 elite QBs in one draft. Let's hope the same is in this draft.

We always seemed to have good QB play with Shula though...so I hope the coaches know what they're doing as well. Shula came in to a fairly new franchise that never got above .500 and right away took them to the playoffs and never looked back. We need that. And Luck still gives the best shot at a franchise QB..the others are a bit more questionable, though can easily be franchise QB's as well. More comfortable if we get Luck.

Are the other QB prospects like Barkley that far behind Luck? I don't really follow the college game so I'm not sure if there are other qb prospects that could be considered plan 1B.

Yes. Luck is next level greatness. The best description I've read of him is, Peyton Manning with more athleticism. It's short, sweet, and to the point.

how about, Mike doesn't want to see Luck go to MIA ... he has Brady in NE ... Luck in MIA ... even Fitz in BUF -- who would all be NOTICEABLY better than Sanchez in NY ....... the person holding the JESTS back is Sanchez .... and 'Luckily' they have no other choice right now. Glad they moved up so far to get him!!

A team would bust it's *** in training camp and for 17 weeks in a season where anyone can have a career ending injury at anytime (hell or even become paralyzed i.e. Dennis Byrd) only to purposely tank b/c a good QB prospect will probably go #1 in the 2012 draft?

No way. Not in the NFL IMO. Too rough a sport to **** around like that

There is no way in hell, a team with Yerimiah Bell, Jake Long, Dansby, and Jason Taylor are going to purposely tank a season.

    We just suck.

And if sucking means we get to draft one of the best qb prospects since before I had hair on my chest, then so be it.

And not for nothing, we're playing with Matt Moore. Our starting qb is done for the season. Our starting RB can't get on the field. We basically just have Reggie Bush back there. Our only decent player in the secondary can't get healthy either. Yet, we're competitive in every game. That alone is a miracle. We're definitely one of the better, awful teams. We just don't know how to win.

The Colts scare me though. They lay down like a bunch of paid whoowaaaz every week.

I can't think of any QB that has been labeled as much of a can't miss as Luck, other than Elway. I know it can seem that way if you follow only a few sources, but if you read a wide range of the pundits, there are always some dissenters. I actually expect that by draft time you'll hear a couple that don't have Luck as the #1 guy. I don't know if that will be honest or simply an attempt to differentiate themselves, but I think it will be out there, probably about a a guy like RGIII or Landry Jones.

Man, if they dont rank Luck #1, and instead pick either RG3 or Jones, they are definately doing it to seek attention cause their judgement is wacked.

2-5 could be suffled and less folks will argue one over the other....

Personally, today....I think 2-5 is Weeden, Tannehill, Barkley, and Jones (if he declares), then maybe RG3.

I know Weeden has age, but from NFL ready and has the arm and I think Age helps him....he could easily be #2 QB taken.

But Luck is clear #1, and anyone saying otherwise must be trying to sell subscriptions, etc. Cause that's just nutz!
