Dude is incredible. He's making Smith look like the old Steve Smith. Hopefully, Luck can do that with Marshall if we're fortunate enough to draft him.
Cams been a lot of fun to watch! They say it takes 2 years to develop a NFL QB, yet he already looks developed. If he progresses like any other QB in two years, he will be beyond anything fathomable. What do you all think we will see from Newton in two years if he dosent take some career ending hit? Do you see him progressing much more, or would you consider him as just a rare sorta rookie QB that was able to come into the NFL in full stride and this about what we will see from him year in and year out?
Cam Newton has a lot of developing left to do and yet he's still looked really good this year. Sky is the limit for him as long as he leaves his ego at the door and continues to take to the coaching. The biggest negatives with him (reading defenses, progressions) will only get better as he gets more games under his belt, and gets the proper coaching, and adheres to the coaching.
14 games played: TD = 17 INT = 16 P yds = 3722 R yds = 609 R TD = 13 Sure, he needs to cut down on the picks but I think R.O.Y. is a safe bet
Cameron Newton has now played 16 games in the NFL. He started all the games. 60% completion, 4,051 yards, 21 TDs, 17 INTs, 84.5 QBR. Oh, and he also rushed for 706 yards with 14 TDs. He was not too stupid to read defenses. He was not a "run-first" QB. He did not get injured despite rushing for 706 yards. The man DOMINATED in 2011.
may as well close this thread b/c not everyone(doubters) will come back to eat crow. A few did though. Depending on Freeman's development, That division will be in the best shape QB-wise for awhile.
Exactly. This is only the beginning of Newton's career. I can't imagine how good he will be. The sky really is the limit for him.
