Ok i believe there are alot of fans that don't want to lose on purpose, or get on fan forums and celebrate losses. I never said anything in my post about superpowers, fan motivation or anything helping this team. It was Carlos's idea that theres still integrity within this team that can be developed. I say play hard play fast do your best and you will be better off than losing on purpose. The biggest thing is the celebrating going on by some fans after each loss its pathetic and shows no backbone imo. Fight till death

Its like a fight you get into in highschool. You know its gonna get broken up quick so you dont defend yourself. Sure the bully gets in trouble and you win a small token. But when the next guy knows you have no fight then they'll just keep the cycle going.

Sparano and the players are out there trying to win. They just suck and can't win. Show me where anyone in the Suck for Luck bandwagon is asking for the players to intentionally screw up plays to lose. They do that on their own.

Why is the media even asking them about it? They are players. They are going to be competitive. Nobody is asking them to tank. They are bad on their own.

We just want them to suck bad enough for the #1 pick instead of the #6 pick.

No players nor coach is going lose a game intentionally or tank a season in the NFL. Maybe the front office wants to tank. I don't know if the Dolphins' front office is tanking on purpose. But you got to realize that the Dolphins are better off losing. Over the years, the Dolphins been granting us, fans, with drafting, coach changing, signing free agents and new regime yet it's the same old-same old. I'm sick of mediocrity where the future doesn't look bright at all. I knew this would happen under this "new regime." I'm glad it's almost over while there's a great QB prospect at next year's draft that will force the Dolphins to draft him.

Players are paid to try to win. It's a complete waste of time asking players about SFL. What are they going to say, "Yeah man, we're going to come out here and do the opposite of what we're paid handsomely to do!" Half of these players won't even be around to reap the potential benefits of landing Andrew Luck. I suppose when people talk about what the Colts have achieved in the past decade they always say "they only did that because they sucked in 1997!" No actually nobody ever says that. No team could intentionally screw up for Luck. The league would completely rape that organization if they found out that happened.

How many time does it have to be mentioned: Players will never tank a season. They will always try to win. Fans don't have enough impact on a game to matter if you are routing for you team to lose.

Some of these posts make it sound like if you are sitting at home and cheering for the Dolphins to lose that you will be chastized by the rest of the league for years to come.

I would never route against my team unless it was a situation like this one. We don't have a QB, the best one since Elway is coming out, you need the 1st pick to get him. It's just that simple.

Wow, sorry man, just don't get the analogy. The players will never give up. They will fight to the end. The fans will continue to route for the 1st pick next year b/c it's what's best for this franchise.

Fans are getting worked up with the chance of Andrew Luck pulling a Eli Manning. May rule it, but I think Andrew Luck is man enough to make his own decisions.

I agree, if he is the man and leader we all think he is, he will agressively want to become our QB.

The only way I could see him really doing that is if Peyton gets healthy and Indy wants to take him to sit on the bench for three seasons. At that point I guess they'd either have to trade him or Peyton Manning.

If the Dolphins secure the #1 overall pick, I hope Luck is happy being a Dolphin and no drama in the draft.

I still won't "root" for the Dolphins to lose, but man I'm ready to get this season over with and finally draft that franchise Quarterback. Even if it's not Luck, get one of these top guys coming out to save this franchise. It's been a long time coming and I cannot wait for it.

Yeah, obviously Luck is the top dog, but there are 4 or 5 really good prospects coming out. We'll get one of them and finally have that franchise QB to lead us back to the top.

I will be very annoyed if we have to draft one of the other QBs over Luck. Luck is the kind of QB that can drive the ball down field, play ball control, make something out of nothing, lead a team, and rise to the occasion. The other guys are all good but there's a gap between them.

You might be surprised how well our line will play next year, with a new RT, and coaching. Columbo has destroyed our line.

With all due respect to Andrew Luck, he's not going to make a team a perennial contender alone. He's the best QB prospect of all time, but its just as likely the team he ends up going to becomes the SD Chargers as it does the Indianapolis Colts.

The Packers are good because they have Aaron Rodgers and Ted Thompson, who is likely the best GM in the league right now.

I also feel we have one good pass rusher in Wake and a decent LB in Dansby and decent CBs. The DL hasn't been the strength we hoped for but it isn't bad. I think we have a major hole at S and we really lost a lot when we gave up the thumper LB we had in Crowder. On offense, we need to get that receiving TE that every young QB needs and get at least an average RT. I don't see this team as devoid of talent. I think they lack talent at some key positions. And of course, they need the coaches that will make the best use of those talents.

I haven't looked at the S prospects that are coming out. We may end up having to stick with Clemons (hopefully healthy) or pick up a one or two year rental, kind of like Sharper was for the Saints a couple of years back. I think the key is that whomever we bring in has to be someone with ball skills. I want someone with the instincts and ability to generate turnovers.

Often times free agents with a chip on their shoulder do well. A Chris Clemons with Goldson from San Francisco would be just fine for a little, with Jimmy Wilson as their backup.

The current players won't get it because it hurts their egos for some of them, and for others just because they are the ones playing.

Most other people get it though. We're DONE cheering for the destruction of an organization that used to be top notch. We saw how Stafford changed the Lions when they finally got that #1 pick (when he's healthy). The Lions sucked for years, but they never sucked bad enough to get that top pick. We want to go 1-15 for a chance at a guy who could possibly be much better than Stafford.

I don't give a flying **** what Anthony Fasano has to say. I've been a die hard loyal fan for 25 ****ing years, I'm still waiting for them to win something. Until this team wins a damn game every player needs to have a tall glass of STFU.

NOTE - PLEASE MAKE NOTE of the pressure that Luck had to deal with -all game long-. USC pass rush was dominating Stanford's O-Line. Luck handled the pressure beautifully. Checkdowns were no problem.

Peter King was on PTI today and talked about the Luck Sweepstakes a bit.

He thinks we are to competitive, that we are playing to hard to win less than 2 games. He thinks Indy will end up with the first overall and says that the Colts will likely take Luck and either have Manning play a bit while Luck acclimates ala Favre/Rodgers or will trade Manning.

Says that in no way will Polian allow Manning to dictate how the pick is used.
