    Since I'm not from Miami, I wouldn't mind a Browns-Ravens-Superbowl-thingie at all ...

Besides it's not like the Raiders don't have fans still here. There's a very large community to watch football here. We watch a heck of a lot of football, even if Miami sucked there's enough fans to fill the stadium for other teams coming in.

So… you advocate for a third chance with a third team that also doesn't originate in LA? Okay.

Judging by the presser tweets, you can find it on Comedy Central.

IMO, the Jags are less likely to move than most believe. And that would screw up the NFL's geographical realignment, so they'd be reluctant to approve a west coast move. I could see a reshuffle that preserves geography, though. Something like:

    Los Angeles Chargers, AFC West
    Los Angeles Jaguars, NFC West
    St. Louis Rams, AFC South

It's over. It's probably up on Miamidolphins.com by now. If not now, then some time today.

The Raiders were more like a foreign parasite that infested the town and took years to fumigate them back out.

Jacksonville isn't as likely to move as I thought. They have fans at their games. SD has been rumored for years to move but they never do. Ross just strikes me as that kind of guy.

Jax to the East and Miami to the South makes sense or St. Louis to the South, Miami to the NFC West as you said. I would love that.

Jacksonville does have fans at the games, yes, which is why I don't think they're going to move. I'm just bringing them up because of the geographical issues. My proposal keeps things nice and clean, and in fact cleans up the currently-messy Rams situation. (Why is a team in the Central time zone in a Pacific time zone division?)

The Chargers were rumored to be moving for years because of their stadium and lease issues, which are currently coming to a head. They ARE threatening to move right now, and their deal is nearly up, which means they're free to move to Farmer Field if they so choose. And I think they will, because local SD politicians are playing hardball.

As for Ross… he doesn't strike me as that kind of guy at all. In fact, I think this forum has misread him for three years.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but I do agree that many conclusions drawn about Ross in this little forum have been problematic at best and downright speculation at worst.

No... he said LA had their chance with the Raiders and Rams... The Rams to an extent yes, but the Raiders were never an LA team. There is a huge market here. A team is coming, quite possibly two.

Sparano/Colombo are a package deal. It was strange, even being up by 15 late in the fourth, you just had a feeling this Dolphin team would find a way to lose it. Just incredible. :pity:

The Dolphins are NOT going to L.A. The fact is that Ross owns the Dolphins, as well as the stadium. The stadium is 25 years old but because of all the upgrades over the years, it is still one of the best football stadiums in the NFL. Ross is from Miami originally, and he has always wanted to own the Miami Dolphins, not the L.A. Dolphins. Fans in Miami are upset with Ross because they haven't seen him do anything to improve the team since he became the owner. He came in and just accepted the regime he was left by the previous owner. If Ross finally makes the moves necessary to bring in a regime which will start turning the organization around. Fans will once again start showing up for games. Besides I don't understand what is so great about the L.A. market. This is the same market which lost the Rams and Raiders to St. Louis and Oakland. If a team from Florida does decide to relocate to L.A., it will be the Jags, not the Dolphins.

Did you miss the part where I said three years? Ross has been bashed for everything from the Orange Carpet to Gator Day, with the conclusion being that he's somehow starstruck. No, he's not starstruck. The point behind the Orange Carpet, the minority ownership, Gator Day, etc is to sell tickets. After 2007, ticket sales fell through the floor. He's doing everything he can short of intervening in the football operations to increase ticket sales. But this forum concludes that he just wants to hang around C-list celebrities, with you going so far as to claim he'll move the team to LA to be close to Hollywood.

The Harbaugh thing was a huge debacle, but that's far from the only reason Ross is disliked. People here hated him well before he hopped on a plane to the Bay Area.

    Stop it. Just, stop. Please.

Keep in mind that Ross has a history of moving teams before... The Philadelphia Stars of the USFL became the Baltimore Stars and Ross made the move...

I left for my daughter's softball game right after Tebow threw that first TD pass. I was certain we would win. As little as I have come to expect from this team I was still completely shocked to read about the final score an hour or so later. Simply unbelievable. I don't see how Sparano survives this.

He may not have lost the team but the team certainly knows how to lose every game they play.

Didn't watch Tebow in college. Does he normally stink it up in the first half and then make a comeback in the 2nd? He's done this in 3 of 4 of his Denver starts. This guy is going to give me a coronary...

Sorry to tell you but Tebow is not your teams answer at QB. He was a great college football player but he just doesn't have the skills to be a top tier QB in the NFL. While he made a few plays at the end of the game today, against the better teams in the NFL, Tebow is going to have a very difficult time. The Dolphins are at the bottom of the league and Tebow had a great deal of trouble until the end of the game. It should also be noted that it was two great catches by his wide receivers and a fumble on an on side kick by the Dolphins which led to this defeat by the Dolphins.

I am not implying that the Dolphins are better than the Broncos, because they certainly aren't. What you should take from this game though is that Tebow is not your long term answer at QB. He is what he is. A player who can make a play every once in a while but not the type of QB who will be a consistent winner in the NFL. I have to think that no matter what Elway may say after this win. He probably would be a lot happier if the Broncos had lost today and he had a better opportunity to draft Luck in the 2012 draft. By the end of this season, I am sure fans in Denver will realize that Tebow is not the solution to their teams QB problems. If Luck is gone when the Broncos turn comes to draft, I expect Elway to take one of the other top QB's in the draft with his first pick.

Teblow sucks, badly. You Donko fans crack me up chanting his name. You beat the 0-6 Miami Dolphins without their starting QB in a comeback OT game. Lmao. Get real. He's not your answer to the ghost of Elway any more than Matt Moore is our answer to the ghost of Marino.

I won't argue that point but his problem is getting his team into the red zone in the first place. Until those two great catches by his wide receivers, Tebow had done absolutely nothing in the game. I certainly give him credit for getting the win, but let's be honest. They were playing against the Dolphins. The Dolphins losing at home has almost become a foregone conclusion before the game even starts. The Dolphins always play not to lose the game and never to win the game.

The one thing I will admit regarding Tebow is that if you give him an opportunity to win at the end of the game, he will find a way. The problem for the Dolphins is that the Broncos should never have been close at the end of the game. The Broncos offense was terrible for over three and a half quarters. The Dolphins just couldn't put them away and when the defense needed to make one stop at the end of the game, it didn't.
Tebow can pull out games against bad teams like Miami. I just don't see him being productive against most of the teams in the NFL.

Two teams have already fled town in LA so what makes people think it will suddenly become an NFL town......that is better than what Miami has?

Miami consistantly sells out games for the last decade and they've sucked. The Dolphins are not going anywhere, anytime, soon.

  39. Ozzy

You forgot the part about Ross owning the stadium here in Miami and he is still paying on it. Plus Miami is a great market if he can get a good GM and Head Coach. Miami has been selling out for the last decade with crappy teams and thats something that has already been tested in LA, and failed.
