Time 8:30 Place Swamps of Jersey Network: ESPN Radio www.940winz.com Matt Moore makes his first start for the Dolphins at Qb, Jets are on a 3 game losing streak, we are on a 4 game losing streak, Sparano is 4-0 in NY, Jest are 0-2 coming off bye weeks. Our D has been tragic, their Offense has been punchless, chances are good, this will not be an offensive explosion, especially if Daniel Thomas is out and he is more then likely a game time decision. Rocky Raccoon was supposed to handle the thread for this week after I was exiled, but less then 6 hrs to go until the game, RR maybe is busy.
No padre, how about 17-4? EDIT: I meant 15-4, possibly 16-4 depending on the Pats. I have no idea why I threw in 2 extra games lol.
Its going to be different watching the Phins knowing that no matter what happens I will be ok with it. A win and we beat the hated Jets, a loss and we are still on our way to the SFL lottery. Either way, I will just enjoy being able to watch my PHINS since I only get to see them when they play nationally since I live in Tennessee.
I see either a blowout loss or a close win. Moore is the only factor in this game DT can run wild, but if Moore plays well, we'll eek out a victory. He throws multiple INTs and it'll get ugly fast. The jets are really motivated. The will "want to win" more than our guys. I know it sounds simple, but sometimes the team that simply wants it more ends up winning.
Same here. It's really odd. I can say without a doubt that I will be much happier with a win (short term) than another SFL loss. If people thought this past offseason stunk, they're going to LOVE the actual season if Miami loses. All we will have is basically more offseason talk with draft guesses, FA hopes, coaching predictions, etc. Who said the offseason was only 3 weeks? Miami could be in store for an additional 11 weeks. I really want a win. Not because it's the Jets and it's MNF, but because I'd at least like to conjure up some miraculous hopes of a 10-6 turnaround playoff season.
Gird your loins, boys, because tonight is gonna be brutal. The most interesting part of the evening might be seeing who the hell they're going to get to play QB once Colombo lets the Jets' D knock Moore out of the game.
You are a funny guy Pads! This isn't the CFL and Sparano isn't Wally ... If we go 12 and 4 you have free drinks and dinner on me ... you can pick the location.
Every week I pick straight up and against the spreads with some friends, and I really want to pick Miami to win but I just can't do it. With a 7.5 spread on ESPN I could see a 20-13 game and Miami covering but that's as far as my brain will let me go.
this is about the lowest interest i have had for a primetime game that i can remember. i now fear a win rather than fear a loss lol. its not even just about luck. its about making sure this regime gets cleaned out im basically going to be rooting for good plays that are inconsequential of the score its very nice to be to completely decouple a loss from anger/disappointment
Must admit with the way things have gone this is about the least pumped I've been for a dolphins/jets game .Once it starts tho,I will put aside when the phins will draft and get back to hateing the jets.
It's a win-win either way. While it'd be nice to stick it to the jets, there's no guarantee we may lose the rest of the remaining games.
That's how I look at it: Our only win of the year, in New York. Set a firestorm off in New York with the media and fans We don't go winless. The coaching staff and personnel department gets kicked to the curb.
To lose to the Dolphins is like catching the HIV nowadays (too soon?)...Jet fans are probably more nervous about losing this game than the AFC East title back in '08. Win or lose, this game is going to be entertaining on so many levels.
We get to watch "The Monster Marsh" maybe get thrown out, Holmes and the OL maybe get into it, and Gruden explain his extension. All this with a game on top of it where some Dolphans could care less if we win or lose. What more could we possibly ask for?
I think the folks that are talking about losing games in order to assure a very high pick to grab a QB are getting a bad rap...I have no problem with folks who really feel this way, I know they are thinking with the teams future in mind, and its best interest, and lord knows this current team has shown its *** enough to create some hostility, the only problem I have with SFL is with fans who continue to almost brag about it publicly like its some sort of campaign they need to jump on and announce..All that does is feed the perception of our fanbase.. So if your so concerned with our future, how bout keeping your mouth shut about it publicly, to protect the image of your team no?..Lets not give the beast that is the media anymore reason to sh&6 on our team and our franchise.. Something is going on around this country, there isn't a radio host who can mention the miami dolphins without mocking and completely hating on our town and team..I think with all the vitriol that Lebron brought to miami from around the country, I actually think that hatred towards our community has a little something to do with why people around the country are taking their shots at the dolphin franchise with such fervor..
If we win the Jets will only be a half game better than us. That's worth it for me. Their season will just about be shot.
Exactly, I'm going to enjoy this one, as finally, we almost cannot "lose", sort of like Obi Wan and Vader...
I have been arguing this in my head the past for the past 24 hours like a crazy person. But in the end I really, REALLY hate the Jets. I hate everything about that team and that ****hole of a state, We lose nothing of value as a Nation if NJ falls into the Atlantic. **** Mark Sanchez's overrated ***. **** **** McGee, I mean Rex Ryan. **** Firetard Ed, hell **** that entire douchey fanbase. **** Sucking For Luck for one night, hell if we go 1-15 Then let tonight be the night we get a win. I hope Brandon Marshall pulls a Hines Ward and break's Revis' Jaw. **** Joe Namath, and his shriveled rotting Liver.
Heading out to the game. Getting pumped up in the mean time, its the only way I know. I just cannot go to see the Dolphins live and root for the Jets to beat them. No way in hell. I have no idea what repercussions a win for us tonight would have in the long run and right now I really dont care. I`m proudly wearing my Dolphin paraphernalia and if any Jet fan dont like it let them try and stop me. LETS GO DOLPHINS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's cool. I had forgotten anyway Monday night in the Jets' house with a chance to send them into serious turmoil. Oh man, I want this win badly! Screw this "Suck for Luck" bull****. I want to WIN!!! Let's go Dolphins!!!!!!!!
I thought you might have forgotten, but waited as long as I thought was prudent. Huge game for both teams.
I hate that I have Santonio Holmes in my FF lineup when it's vs. the Dolphins but I don't have much choice. I could plug in Bess instead but I don't really trust him to produce much, especially with the wild card of Matt Moore at QB.
Well, on the flip side Dbess could be the check down option, I'd expect lots of max pro's and safe passes tonight.
Does anyone think Marshall actually wants to get thrown out in the second quarter? I know the dude is crazy, but come on already. He's just firing himself up for a Monday night game against a rival.
I expect to see "vintage" Rex tonight. He's got something to prove. That means an aggressive, blitzing, and gambling defense. Our team will have their chances to go after Cromartie and Revis individually. I also think that they try to run the ball at least 30 to 40 times against our defense, especially to the outside as Mangold is still banged up. Would not shock me to see some flare and dump off passes to LT in the cards this evening either. We either win this one close or we get blown out. I'd put the odds at 70:30 favoring the blowout.
