I am a college senior and I just switched to minor in Film. Heres my first film I have ever directed.

I didn't focus at ALL on the storyline and plot, hence the tacky ending and some parts. I was focused on the atmosphere and "feel" Hopefully I gave off a vibe..

Yeah I know this is the wrong section MODS, but I need some opinions and views on it! and this section gets visited the most..

Not at all bad for a short flick, had suspence. The best part was when Santonio Holmes shoots Sanchez in the back.

The sound track was very good IMO. I like the black & white, and I like the distant & stationary camera location from the opening shot that gives off the affect that you're on the outside looking in.

Maybe for the next one you can do a porno. 3 minutes and 35 seconds of that and I'm good to go.

any specific reason you go with the "grainy" film approach?

Its 16mm boss. Thats the oldest film cameras out there outside of 8mm. It comes out as looking like that.

    ?

We were forced to film with 16mm. The course forces us to. We aren't allowed to use digital or anything other than 16mm. To edit the films we had to use the old school machine of cutting the film with a razor and taping together the cuts with tape.

Maybe you can consider doing some documentary stories such as how people live in a day. You will never think of the script because the people who will shoot will deliver them naturally.

A lot of people wouldn't act naturally in front of a camera. Not trying to down the idea, but it's not a sure thing that anyone will deliver anything accurately.
