Well since I've been ragging on him pretty bad last few weeks, I have to swallow my pride and admit he looks pretty good today...

It is the lions though... :shifty:

Welker is everything thats right about the game, he is the closest thing to an NFL "Rudy" as their is....

Im not bitter he was traded and that wasnt his fault we all thought we got one over on ole Bill but just like everyother time Pats look like genuises.

Sorry, I didn't mean to leave you out. You could've scored on that one too.

The only thing being exposed is the myth that Moss is needed to make Brady or Welker look good. Even Branch is burning people like it's 2004. The Dolphins should of picked up Woodhead as well.

You just lost your mind with that comment. They may have the worst defense in this league. Brady right now is a shoe in for MVP.

Just FYI.. Since moss left the pats have only lost one game and are averaging 30.4 pts per game which, *puts on sunglasses* is good enough for best in the league.

Other than the Browns game, the Pats have looked like their old, dominating selves.

If you remember, the Patriots originally were using a "poison pill" contract to sign him from under us. I think Kraft stepped in and stopped it so we would work a trade. I HATED to see Welker go, he was never a great kick returner, but just like now he could always get open and move the chains. I told a friend of mine who is a Pats fan and didn't really know much about Welker that he was going to love him.

I never thought we got anything over anyone on that deal.

Can we get over the Welker trade? We have Bess who is just as good as Welker in the slot.

I'm willing to bet that by the end of the season, Welker will be exposed for the 1,800 yard receiver that he is.

You know what's interesting? I was watching an older Patriots game to see how they played Moss when he was there, and I came to find out that what teams did is bracket Welker.

Welker combined with Tom Bradys accuracy is near impossible to contain when he has time to throw. If u dont get to Brady often your done

You know, my word on the subject means jack turd right now, but I'm not so sure you guys necessarily need to eat your crow. I think Davone Bess also posts amazing numbers on that Patriots team. I'm not sure if they would be as good as Welker's.

While I was wrong in calling Welker a mediocre WR, I'm still of the opinion he GREATLY benefits from an amazing Qb and amazing offensive system. If Tom Brady had Peyton's issues this season and Kerry Collins was throwing the rock Welker's numbers would be about where Reggie Wayne's and Pierre Garcon's are right now, in my humble, and sometimes VERY wrong opinion...

It's the targets and the insistence of their gameplan, week in and week out, to feature a garden gnome.

The genus of Wes Welker is in the mind of Billy and I humbly believe Billy could do the same with Bess or any other SMART slot guy!

The way to stop Welker is to hit him and knock him off his route, disrupt his timing, versus just saying get to Brady solves this problem, imho.

That said I'll admit hes a pretty tough cowboy for a Pat.
