Excellent signing, Ventura is a very popular guy in Chicago, I like the move! I got much more to say but I'm watching the game and TNA...
Dang, got that puppy wrong. Oh well....house money was taken back in the end. Next year planning begins now!
I feel terrible for the Yankees and all their fans. Such a bummer..... I look forward to FinYanks killing Swisher though.
If you are referring to Verlander...keep in mind, he was far, far from HOT. I believe 10 innings with 6 ER! That's not hot. But in the end, 3games to 2 is all that matters no matter how accomplished, but I wouldnt even consider saying the ARMS dominated from either side in this 5 game series.
This yr, no team is particularly compelling to me, I don't mind any team that is still alive, would kinda of like the Cards to knock out the phillies though.
Yankees suck, Yankees suck, Yankees suck!!!
He got them through to ALCS. Really surprised at how easily the Yanks tumbled, several chances to break the game open, and normally someone does, and this time they were just flat.
They were a flawed team, just like every other team in the MLB. There was no real dominate team this year, although the Phillies were probably the closest. They didn't really have the starting pitching to go far and their offense just got cold. But the Yankees, even though they lost, were still a better team than the Tigers. But that's the beauty of the playoffs it's a complete crap shoot. Anyone that gets in can win it all. Right now I'd have to say Texas has a good chance to get into the WS right now. I guess I'll be rooting for the Cardinals and the Brewers tomorrow.
have I been wrong about that guy though is the question? He might be the most unclutch person in the history of the game IDK, behind A-Rod, and Tex.... been saying it all along with this team this year, they arent hitters, they rely on hit home runs...........and when you get to the playoffs, home runs are usually the first stats to go... Congrats D-Town....I am over it already....
Back in the day the Rangers used to have Spring Training in my home town, so I sort of like them. Same could be said of the Tigers, Cards, Brew Crew. Not a DBack fan though.
Delmon Young impacted this series far more the Mr. Verlander (who I love on my Fantasy team). Call a spade a spade...this ALDS was not a Pitching showcase.
When you have the bases loaded, normally a Veteran Team can get one run in at least, that is what surprised me.
Nice to have new teams in, Rangers lost last year, it's their time.... Glad the " we buy World Series Titles" Yankees are out..lol And Yankee fans cant hate on me its ok, im sick of them..hahaha
I don't mind the Yankees, in the 80's they were on every week on a local channel, back when they had Mattingly and Randolph and Henderson, they were a fun team. But do agree, Yankees fans, some, feel almost entitled to win it all every yr, like Patriots fans, so when they lose it is kind of fun.
Nope and I never said you were. Him and Teixeira haven't done anything in the playoffs in 3 years. Ditto for Arod and Sabathia, but I'll give Arod a pass since he was playing hurt.
Yankees fanbase is horrible, all they have is fake *** fans anyways, they don't know about real fans like the Red Sox, White Sox and many other teams have! We go through thick and thin, good and bad times, Yankee fans just show up when they win! Yankees and their fanbase suck, enough said!
Please. Red Sox showed up all the sudden all over the nation. No where to be seen prior to their championship run. Most Boston fans I meet are some of the most classless and least knowledgable fans of all. Red sox are now the #1 team I hate. Their fans.
What the heck are you talking about, before their championship run? Baseball was invented and started in 2004 stoopid.
Mr. Parcells Guy, you think you're smart huh? I was a Red Sox fan before they won anything! Go and take your hate somewhere else, you sorry *** frustrated Yankee fan, i don't care what you think! Yankee fans are the worst, you know it's true, they are the most arrogant and classless fans of all, only show up when their team is winning a championship... they can't even sell out all their home games, lol! Red Sox fans reached 700+ consecutive sell-out at Fenway Park in 2011, you guys barely have 7 sell-outs in a row! Just saying!
For me, the Sox have won enough now to erase the memory of the 86 WS, they sort of have shed the bridesmaid role which for me makes them a bit less interesting. As I watched the Tigers celebration, it struck me that when the Braves were on their role they used to wear goggles during the celebration, and they stopped using champagne, they sort of got complacent with being there every yr.
Oh absolutely, for a non-Sox fan they turned from be this sad little franchise that fans rooted for once their team was out of the race into Yankees2.0. A lot of that was because some of the fan base turned/become obnoxious once they won and also how the media (ESPN, Fox, etc) always have them in the spotlight.
Nah, I always cheered for them every playoff appearance, even 89 when Clemons had the war paint on, I also liked guys like Fisk and Lynn and Don Baylor and Mike Greenwell. They sort of lost the under dog "we are the idiots" guys and roles and just became Yankees "Lite" to me.
