I don't agree on the no red flags and no David Carr was not considered in the same vein as Luck is. Plenty of problems with his arm delivery, pocket presence was shattered in Houston. We're not expecting that out of Luck but we do expect eventual top level quarterbacking.

The players can tell. Almost everyone in that locker room knows who isn't holding up their end of the bargain, why not, and who is responsible for them being in that position.

The problem with these players being made to look bad, is that they don't have a long-term view. Cameron Wake has what, 2 more seasons left to really earn more money than he will the rest of his life. These guys aren't going to be okay with potentially millions out of their pocket, so Stephen Ross can have a good team 5 years down the line. Especially considering that Stephen Ross is a billionaire.

I can see that, I could also see Sparano as the kind of guy that would ask his team to take a vote, if they are willin to give 100 percent for the season and support him, he would see it to the end...

You mean I get to screw up in a manner that helps the company's long-term prospects and nets me a fat severance package? Sign me up.

How does playing poorly give any player a severance package? It just reduces the money in their next contract.

Flying across the nation to interview a coach w/o firing your existing coach 1st, defies belief.
Hiring Clevelands OC when your jobs on the line defies belief
Trying to obtain a QB publically and then settling on your existing QB and not addressing a solid back up on top of that... defies belief
Believing this team could be anything better than 0-4 right now..... defies belief.
