This dude needs to go, he has no heart. He short armed a pass when he had 2 steps. This guy is overrated. See what we can get for him and cut our losses. I'd rather have Hartline be the #1. He makes every catch.

I honestly believe we should trade Henne before anyone.

I'm sure some teams would love to have an experienced backup.

If we could somehow manage to package Marshall and another "top" player for another 1st round pick, we could possibly land Luck and that Floyd kid out of Notre Dame in the first. Assuming we rid ourselves of other dead weight for extra picks it would make for an interesting and busy draft.

Marshall's is his own worst enemy IMHO. Dude would be top three WR if his head was right.

Dude, he leads the NFL in drops. He hasn't show one thing yet this year. At least Henne shows flashes of being an elite QB. In fact if Marshall could CATCH 3 TDs, Henne would not even be being discussed, because we would have 2 wins right now. Not even a comparison.

Henne NEVER showed flashes of being elite,NEVER. He showed flashes of being good, improved and at times a decent QB. But elite ? NEVER!

Brandon definitely needs to step it up big time. 3 missed redzone TDs in 3 games.

The missed deep pass though wasn't an easy one. Look at the angle of the shadow. He had the sun smack in his eyes, which is bad enough without a defender draped on you.

I have all the games on DVR. Marshall had exactly ONE gutsy play, when he pushed Jason Allen into the endzone. However, he has failed in the clutch MANY more times than make a play, sorry.

It was a great catch, that meant nothing. Didn't result in points and didn't extend a drive.

Yea, but he did make a nice catch on a 1st and 10 play when Miami had the ball on their own 20.

Brandon needs to step it up. For sure. But Henne has NEVER flashed any elite ability. Ever.

So 417 yards and 2 TDs is just average output huh?

Those sure look like elite numbers to me, but what do I know?

IIRC, the last TD by SD today was set up by a Marshall drop. If he makes the catch on 3rd down, we extend the drive, but we had to punt and SD scored.

Flashing a glimpse of being elite after 4 years in the NFL is nothing to write home about.

IMO Henne should stay on the team next year. Not as the quarterback of the future (finally given up on that), but he still has a lot of value to us as a veteran backup. He can still do a lot of good for us if we keep him.

Henne has never looked elite, Henne has shown flashes of being good mixed with flashes of being run out of the league.

I think you can win with Henne, but he needs to be more consistent.

Marshall has shown he can be great, but has not played that way consistently here.

Marshall today looked like he was checked out had his head down the whole game. I'm not sure if that's a sign of the team quitting or just him quitting dunno. The first player I would trade would be wake though hes a luxury one way player that isn't going to help us get better anytime soon.

Sigh, we went over this after that game. Those "elite" #s were the product of him throwing half again as many times as his average and the other #s bore similar results because of that. Some were a bit better but not even spectacular and elite tho. But I digress.........................

Marshall is supposed to be the best player on our team but fact is he's playing nowhere near that title. He needs to make the tough catches and yet he doesn't even make all the easy ones. Marshall gives up and doesn't put enough effort in his job. I see no name WR's making crazy hard catches every weekend while Marshall drops them. People on this site say it's because our team sucks or Henne sucks but there are no excuses for dropping the ball when it hits you ion the hands.....ask Hartline he knows how to catch

I am a big fan of marshalls ability and his impact on the rest of this team. But at this point where our team is, his disorder, and his poosible effect on our rookie QB next season...I do hope we trade him.

However, due to his disorder, I don't think we can. He's a ticking timebomb honestly and it sucks because its nothing he can control possibly.

    Regarding trading Marshall....

If you can find a team who will trade for a struggling WR with a $50 million contract, you belong atop an NFL front office.

I fell of the Marshall bandwagon today. He's exceptionally gifted. He can make tremendous plays, but on a team lacking in character and leadership, he isn't a good fit.

He needs so many opportunities to stay interested. He doesn't make his teammates better. He doesn't make the big plays you expect someone like him to make. He's been extremely disappointing in 1 and 1/4 years.

the media and announcer hype on brandon is now starting to sound like the way they used to talk about ronnie and rickey where you know the players aren't as good as the way the announcers portray them

the guys is a hell of a talent, but we just have to be realistic with who he is. i think he will do better with with a better QB. it just doesnt seem like he is concentrating

Brandon Marshall has never been concerned about anyone but himself, and that has not changed. Give it a name such as borderline personality disorder or whatever you want to, but Brandon Marshall has always been a player who is selfish and disrespectful to everyone around him. He is perfectly fine with losing as long as he gets his, but if not getting his means the team wins, you will see him get into a pissing match with whoever he can.

The guy is a cancer. This team has drastically gotten worse since he has been here, and it is time to cut the cancer out and get on some chemo. Being a jackass isn't a requirement for being a #1 wide receiver.

And that long pass was a lot closer than it looked on TV. He "easily" could have had that with a little heart and effort.
