If the amount of people defending Henne matched the number complaining about people defending Henne, there might be a point. Seems like most of the Henne support has died and now there are just weekly 'I told you so' threads. I'll speak for former Henne supporters - you win. Henne sucks. Congrats. Enjoy it, because this is probably your best chance for a win all year - and you can thank Henne for that.
Even if threads were started about other players, by page 2 it would have turned into a Henne thread.
And that should tell you everything you need to know. I've been behind Henne, preaching patience, saying give the kid a chance to prove what he can do. He's had his shot, he's proved what he can do and it's nothing. Pointing out that I was willing to give the kid a chance and still believe now that he's done only lends credence to my feelings.
Come on... Chad's done just that on numerous occasions in his time here. To say he hasn't is just being plain ignorant to support the anti-henne rant. It just makes no sense to me why we've got to have this stupid two sided crap around here constantly over one player, and the unit that stunk the most today, our ****ty defense gets off scott free once again, because our QB, who threw the ball only 4 times, threw an interception.
What he's done? You claimed to have been on the Suck for Luck bandwagon since the off-season which was a blatant falsehood. It's fun to pretend.
yeah if he wasnt our qb we would have won today oh wait he didnt play but 2 series, oh well still his fault it was his psyche that did it. The intelligence is scary here
You kids DID watch the game, right??? HENNE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!!! STFU haters, you really bring nothing to the conversation. Defense and the WORTHLESS O line cost us this game. Please shut up. Matt Moore was WORSE!!!
Maybe we will when the haters stop blaming everything on Henne. Again, no one is saying Henne is perfect or comparing him to a Brady, Rodgers and such, but the haters don't want to accept that. Could we have better QB, sure, we're all saying that. Blaming Henne for everything is just plain stupid.
Who the **** has blamed everything on Henne. You guys are arguing with a wall. I can't name too many posters who have argued that everything is on Henne. I seriously can't and that's even with his biggest critics.
I still think he could be a serviceable QB on other teams. But he's damaged goods at this point on THIS team.
I'm surprised how many people defend it. You'd think, after going through 15 starting QBs since Marino retired, not one of which was drafted by us in the 1st round, Dolphins fans would understand why so many fans look at QB first and foremost. And after watching Pennington come in here and having one of his best seasons, with this same type of team to lead us to 11-5. He finished 2nd in MVP voting for a reason that year. If Pennington didn't fall to Miami's lap in 2008 we would be in a 10 year playoff drought even with the Wildcat. QB is important. It's not the only need by far & not the biggest issue for us, but it's still the most important. Henne is not the answer. Can we end the back and forth.
I'm not going to argue with you on the interception rate of Henne. It is high, but to be FAIR... Two of Henne's interceptions came as time was running out...against Cleveland on 4th and 10 with no one open...and the other against New England I believe it was as time was running out in the first half and Henne threw a last second deep pass. Those two picks I really don't hold against Henne due to the situation. Picks that came from the ball bouncing off of the receiver that he should have caught, I don't hold against Henne, but the other's. Those picks are on Henne. But I would also take into consideration who was calling the plays the last two season...DAN HENNNG!!! Henning never set Henne up for success and had him throwing the ball left and right with no run support to keep defenses honest. All those defense had to do was sit back, be patient and with all of the balls Henne was being told to put up, sooner of later he would make a mistake. EVERY quarterback does from Peyton Manning to Tom Brady to Drew Brees...to even yes an average quarterback like Chad Henne. When looking at individual stats, I look at the big picture and analyze the entire situation...not just look at numbers. Numbers tell "what"...they don't tell "why".
Marshall was open at the end of the Browns game. Chad Henne threw a bad pass and it got picked. As for the pick in the Pats game, you're right that was a fluke interception, but the fact that Henne has a pattern of turning the ball over to the extreme that only 6 games in his entire career has he gone without a pick...you can't explain that away.
I claimed to have been on the Suck for Luck bandwagon since the pre-season and if you check my post history you'll see that is accurate. It's fun to misquote people to make your invalid point.
