I can't wait to see this guy run behind our kick butt O-line! I hope he knows how to hurdle, John Jerry spends most of his time on the ground. ;)

One thing our line can do is run block on the first level. They can drive, but can't hold the point of attack.

I figure Olshansky is the better player, no? Unless I was right and that is sarcasm.

Daboll did it just fine in preseason; he knows how. He's just being throttled now by the meathead.

    Ryan Baker?

These idiots keep cutting good, young developmental players to make room for has-beens and questionable choices.

Where would Baker fit in with Odrick, Merling, Starks, Langford, McDaniel, and Olshansky (only 3 years older than Baker)?

I thought Slaton broke his neck/fractured a vertebrae. Kinda questionable move IMO.

Well, what this means is Bush can now split out at Wr, and DTrain can have more carries as he will split time with Slaton, who does not figure to carry the ball much while he learns the offense.

Slaton had a great first yr, developed fumblitis, then hurt his neck, then was not a good Returner, then Arian Foster emerged.

Fast player, I like the move as he can add explosiveness and he frees up Bush.

I assume you mean where you were trolling.

Olshansky being signed made Baker, who hasn't even shown a flash of brilliance in his career here, expendable. His 1 tackle on the season will be severely missed though. I also find it funny that we're talking about giving players time to develop into good players.

Well, Nabo is semi right KM, Ryan Baker won't be out of work for long, he does to many jobs on Specials and can play DT or DE or NT.

But our problems on offense dictated Baker be moved out and Slaton brought in as he fits what we need better.

I dont get these moves . first Sparano say we are changing th erunning style so he runs off Ronnie and Ricky ok, i undertand that part but then he turns backaround and says he wants to run a power run game but he just released twohuys that were still good at doing that , then trades a valuble draft pick for Reggie Bush who isnt cut out to run it up the middle. man this ball club refuses to get away from the 1940's style of football while our rivials continue to stockpile draft picks.

this maddness has to stop .

    Uhm..what?

Bush was splitting carries with Thomas, with limited success, Bush plays better in space, if you want Bush out in space you are going to have to find a new Rb partner for Thomas

    Enter Slaton.

We have had a revolving door at RB lately .Players like Johnson looked at and in some cases kept around until a starter comes back from injury ,then cut.

This may be an indication of an injury to either Bush ,Thomas or Hilliard that we dont know about.

With Hilliard, I wouldn't say injury, but lack of talent.

Well, we've been around the block to many times to drink any Slaton Koolaid atm, Larry Johnson for example, but if he is healthy and can learn the offense quickly enough there is no reason why signing him would not make any sense.

Texans are loaded at Rb and Slaton wore out his stay, could be an acorn or a discard.

I also have to note that we already re-signed a MUCH better D-Lineman this off season who is nearly a year younger (10 months younger). His name is Tony McDaniel.

    I like the move.

We got a nice shot at a BCS Bowl. Too bad the AFC East doesn't have an automatic bid. We need to join a super conference.

I don't get it, if you wanted to use Bush more as a Wr and on returns, then logically, won't you also have to get a running back to absorb the carries as a running back that he would have had?

Not a fan, Slaton is soft and runs soft. Bush maybe terrible inside the tackles, but damn it he will run hard. Slaton is still a little bit better runner then Bush, but RBs that are soft bother me a lot for some reason.

Not dogging you, I just find it ironic after all fans have wished for is a passing team. Grass is greener thing I guess.

I do, that is to say I do so more now, then during the offseason.

Young Qb who is showing marked improvement in yr #3 as a starter, no other proper way to describe his game so far this season.

Come on man. Ronnie wasn't this great receiving threat. He could catch a screen/check down with the best of them but he wasn't a big space threat or a threat as a route runner.

Been saying this for years, Ronnies receiving out is the backfield is one of the most overrated aspects in Dolphins history.

His blocking was very underrated however.

Ronnie, was not physically able to carry much of a load as a running back, there is no other way to say it.

With Cam, he lasted 7 games, he missed what..7 games in 09 with the foot injury? in 05 he missed what..6 games? 4 games?

Think he was a class act, but the pounding was something he just could not handle
