I was very emotional after a loss. Now, I don't care at all.

    And that is MUCH worse.

I KNEW our D would fail again, they always do.

When the score was 16-10 I thought we would win. And I didn't even really care because it was just a such a dog **** effort on offense, especially concerning red zone play. The difference in my state of mind in us winning and losing that game was minimal.

The majority of the fanbase has become cynical and apathetic. Thats why people dont give a **** about attending home games, thats why there will be blackouts and thats why Sparano will not make it past week 8.

Same.. I don't show much emotion anymore. I was breaking stuff two years ago over the games. Now I just sit there and stare. When Henne threw the game ending pick I didn't have a reaction at all.. I just closed my stream and turned on the next game.

I've gone numb as well. A far cry from not being able to sleep the night before gameday.

yep.....it wasnt that long ago that after every loss I would be irate. I wouldnt read the paper, watch espn or go on dolphin forums all week. It would eat at my very soul. With the way this team finds ways to lose it actually makes me laugh now watching. This team isnt even worth my anger anymore. I wouldnt say apathy has set in since i will still watch every game but the anticipation for each weeks game is a fraction of what it was not that long ago

edit: i would say becoming numb is a good description

Defense held the Texans to 23 pts last week. Much better job than the Saints did today.

They kept the Browns at 17 pts.

Fintastic, it's a sad sight to see that your idea of winning football means the Dolphins score 13-16 points every week, and then complain when the defense gives up 14-17 points.

Whose on the field when the Dolphins aren't getting pressure on the quarterback? They rotate often it's tough to keep up.

The defense didn't play bad this week. The problem with the defense today was the same problem they have had over the last few years. Late in the fourth quarter when they need to rise up and stop the other team from scoring. They aren't able to make the plays necessary to win the game.

As far as the scoring offense goes. You are correct, scoring 13 points last week and 16 this week just isn't going to get the job done. Unfortunately the Browns this week, and the Patriots in week one are two of the worst defenses the Dolphins will face this season. With the Chargers and the Jets the next two teams on the schedule, we will find out if Henne and the offense are able to move the ball against these top rated defenses. People keep writing about how much better the offense is this year than it was last year. The object of the game is to score Points. Last season after 3 games, the Dolphins average points per game were 17.3 a game. This season after three games, they have averaged 17.6 points a game. This .3 increase in scoring was against teams who are not considered to have top defenses in the NFL this season. So while the Dolphins may be picking up more yardage than last year. I haven't seen any improvement in scoring and therefore I don't see any great improvement with Daboll in charge of the offense as opposed to when Henning was in charge.

Same here, I used to get really mad when we lost, now I look for what went wrong and see if they make moves to fix the problems.

Though this loss, has me a bit stunned, but I'm not angry or anything.

As I've said, if Sparano has a good yr we will have a Qb for a long time in Henne, if we flop we have a shot at a great Qb in the draft with lots of talent on the roster.

I tend to think strategically over up and down from week to week these days.

Nice post...... we can move the ball but can't score points. It's the same story as last year, as you said... only .3 points average improvement through 3 games....

So the REAL test is coming up soon.....

It seemed like we didn't blitz on our last defensive drive too much [if at all]. We had Wake getting doubled and JT on Joe Thomas. That's a predictable outcome; no pressure. We come out with an extremely short field and they blitz like crazy to force Henne to rush his decisions.

I am completely numb about Miami losses now. I said a few choice words but I'm not mad the way I used to be when it mattered.

I was mad today. The last series they had today after the good run back, how can you not gain ANY yards to get your team into field goal range??? But as this season gets worse maybe i will care less and less and the weeks go by.

I laughed when I listened to the Browns march down the field to win the game. Wins and losses haven't meant much to me as a Dolphins fan since our epic 2002 season meltdown.

I've learned to try to to stay away from the boards for a few hours after a loss... It doesn't upset me as much as it use to, but it still bothers me.

today is the first time in my life that i didn't get crazy nervous and have my heart beat out of my chest in the last 5 minutes of a 4th quarter of a tight game. even in some blowout losses i would get that way. not today. it appears that this feeling is fan-wide. the only good thing is that i dont think this is being lost on the organization
