I think no one will argue the Dolphins were the NFL's worst team last season. They had the worst record. They had the No. 1 overall pick this year. They fired their coach and general manager after only one season.

    They were the worst.
    But where are they today?

Although no one has played a game lately, there has been plenty of activity around the NFL since February when the Giants were crowned kings. Coaching changes, free agency, and the draft have changed things in a lot of places.

I dont think our record resembled our team. Yes we were 1-15 but we did compete until the end in games. Unfortunately, in those six games that we competed 60 minutes, we did not come out on top. Where do we rank now? N/A. N/A for not available because you can't base any teams off their minicamps. If you base it off FA moves, we could be mediocre (5-11/6-10) to an average team (8-8). I think we will have to wait until we get to maybe the pre season to see what we really have because that is when the final roster is due. As for now, I am just happy we are on the right track and have these rookies bonding well and competing hard.

Until we prove otherwise on the field we still rank where we did last year. I don't want to be a paper champion anyways, lets do it on the field and shock the world.

I honestly think Miami was a legit 7-9 team last year and I think we have just as good a chance to make the playoffs as any team from last year with that same record. I don't think we are as bad as many claim we are/were.

We weren't as bad last year as our record stated, but in this coming year I am reluctant to think that we will win any more than 6 games. We will be picking top 10 again next year and more than likely top 5.

I think it will be very hard to predict how Miami will do until the question mark at the QB position goes away. With good QB play Miami I could see us winning 7-9 games, maybe more. With bad QB play (like last year) it could get as bad as 2 wins.

There is no way to know how much we've improved in relation to other teams. And who cares anyway? There's no special ribbon for finishing 30th as opposed to 32nd.

To those that would say "we aren't as bad as our record says", hogwash. Every year you are what your record says you were.

If you are 0-16, it doesn't mean that you couldn't have any teams or that you shouldn't have beat any teams, it only means that you didn't beat beat any teams.

I don't care how many games we coulda won or shoulda won, we only won one game.

This year, I think we'll be better because I think the new staff is going to preach fundamentals...block, tackle, don't turn the ball over. If we do those things better, our team improve. How much, who knows? But I expect this team to have a winning season in 09.

Competitive in a half-dozen or so games doesn't cut it. Many of those 7-9 teams will probably tell you that with a few breaks they could have been 10-6 or 11-5.

Were we probably better than 1-15? I'd say yes because of the injuries, but not by much. If this team were truly a 7-9 squad they would have found a way to win a few more games. They didn't.

The NFL is such a competitive league, that Miami could go anywhere from 4-12 to 10-6. A couple good calls, a little confidence, who knows ...

At this point, if someone put a gun to my head, I'd say we were in the bottom third of the league, but towards the top of the bottom.

Good points, i.e. the Saints a couple years ago.
