for those that kept defending him as a "winning" coach and that you can't replace a winning coach.

I can understand your desire to bring this up if people have really rubbed you wrong on this issue, but it seems a little silly to bring up [now].

Not only could he easily become a "winning" coach again next week, but this is a "what have you done for me lately" league so his record the past two years should be far more worthwhile discussion than the fact that he's now just .500 as a coach.

For all you fans who still have doubts about Sparano how bought this at his press conference:

“It’s baffling to me,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said, via Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald. “It really is. I don’t have any answers for it. We’ve got to do a better job.”

Oh we got to do better.........now theres a new and exciting concept......

Prediction: If we lose to Cleveland I think our knucklehead owner makes Tony an offer he can't refuse.....god knows who Ross will upgrade with but anythings probably better.........Oh and Mr Ireland yes you come out from behind that door now go out the door and don't let it hit you on the way out...............so much for the Parcell era.............

I agree dude, and I did bring up the fact that he was 14-18 in the last two years, but a certain nameless poster, who will know who he is, said but you can't say that, and that I was horrible for wanting a coach with a winning overall record fired, etc. Blah Blah Blah...

I am feeling a bit of vindication right now, for the unfair beating I have taken since earlier this year. I knew I was right, and I am being proven right. Others claim they look at games, replay them, break them down, and that they see this and that, and act all completely superior and dismissive of others opinions. In reality they know nothing more than I do, because if they did, they would be working in the NFL.

Hopefully the STINCH of Bill Parcells will be completely blown out of Davie, by the end of this year. I will celebrate when they are all gone. He was the worst thing to ever happen to our franchise, even worse than when JJ forced Wannstadt on us.

As sad as I am......I don't know why I'm upset because I didn't really expect us to beat the Patriots and especially not the team we have NEVER beaten. Guess my wounds from the past few years weren't fully healed. I'm still not pro-Sparano at this point, despite knowing whats coming. A punch in the stomache still hurts even if you see it coming.

You are correct. His record the last two years, plus the first two games this season is 14-20. So based on your, "what have you done for me lately", comment, I would say that he really hasn't done anything good lately and it is time he is shown the door.

YOu know, your bleak outlook about everything Dolphins taxes my brain. Im a open minded person but why watch if you have not one ounce of optimism? What makes you think a Gruden or Cowher are ready to put in the hours Tony does they are happy. Its a double edged sword I dont see many coaches coming out of retirement with the fire in the belly .

Sparano works hard is Human so he makes mistakes. But to trash him when theres no alternative at the moment is counter productive. At the end of the yr we have this discussion not now. To change coaches mid stream never works and it takes serious thought to decide to start the rebuild over again. As Henne is learning Sparano's learning we are a young team. It took Cowher how many years to get to the big dance? I understand the frustration Im a Sparano supporter but he's got issues the oline is one big one i dont get how its a weakness either but look at the body of work with open eyes jmo

No the reason your brain is taxed is because you are coming to the realization that I was right. Its vindication time. The nasty, and unfair treatment I received this summer, because I had the guts to stand up to the Mafia of The Eternal Dolphins Optimists is giving me a wry smile in the tragedy that 2 weeks in the Dolphins season has become.

Rooting for failure because you care more about being right than you do about this team makes you a tool.

Yep, Gruden was 57-55 with the Bucc's and won with Dungys players. Cowher has been away for what, 5 years now? That's a long time.

I wanted Sparano gone over the off season, but he is here now, and I'm willing to root for him until the offseason again.

Than I will look at the options we have.

    Kudos Jake

Looks like we were barking up the right tree.....

It is refreshing to see people coming to a more realistic reality of the state of our team. Know the feeling of being dumped on by the gang and I guess after 4 years there is a certain familiar level of inconsistency thats just to powerful for many to continue to ignore.. with this new insight it will make this place 100% more interesting....Was really getting tired of all the excuses....

I don't root for failure, that is so stupid. I ALWAYS root for the Dolphins to win. You just are too bent on hating on me that you can't see past your orange & aqua glasses.

But when it happens that I was right, I am going to put it back in the face of all of those that hated on me. The bullying and truly hateful things that were said about me, well its vindication time.

So your bitter about a few people giving you ****. You take the fun out of being a fan. You went into a season looking to be vindicated instead of optimistic. Sorry you have to live life that way.

No I just don't try to fool myself into believing the Dolphins are better than they are, its called intellectual honesty. I called a spade a spade. I saw the light before a lot of others, and took a great deal of crap because of it. I know they won't apologize for it, but if they did, I would immediately drop it, and get on with things.

If you know your right why care man? Serious you are celebrating that you were right your favorite team sucks at the moment. Does that seem right.? Were all in this together, i dont **** roses I know we have issues but your aiming your anger in the wrong direction IMO. You want the coach to fail to vindicate something that will or will not play out let it happen and know you were right or wrong. But dont require vindication you already have it in your head

So in every single thread, your going to come in and call out a few people because you feel vindicated? You were not the only one that wanted Sparano gone, there were a ton of people, and I don't see them in every thread patting themselves on the back. You say you want an apology? Its a forum where people disagree all the time, and only time tells who was right. If you feel someone is treating you wrong, report it and we will take care of it if it warrants it. But we certainly don't need to see you in almost all the threads calling them out. It takes threads off topic and creates more work for the Mods.

yes, it seems that you were right if that helps.

Whats puzzling to me is Parcells recommending Rex Ryan to the NYJ and then bringing in Sparano?

We are better than our record says we are. We shoudl have won that game yesterday. Make the chip shot fieldgoal, Marshall catches the TD pass, and we're probably not having this conversation.

I don't know how much crap you took over the summer, and don't really care either. I know at the end of last season it was clear to me that I wanted to see a coaching change. It didnt happen, so I let it go. I assume many others here are of the same opinion. So, I don't think its your opinion about wanting to replace the coach and FO that rubbed people the wrong way, its the way you present it... as if your opinion is the only one that matters, and we're all idiots for trying to support the staff and players here even though we also may not feel its the best situation. It's the talking down to others for their opinions that may have rubbed people the wrong way, and lead them to do the same to you. Like I said, I didnt want the guy to keep his job either... after the decision was made to retain him though, it's done. It's over with. Nothing I or any of us here can do. No sense in complaining about it all offseason, just try and find some positives to it, that's part of being a fan I think, its the optimism that keeps us coming back, the chance that hey... next week is another Sunday. We could win the next 14 and go 14-2 (I know its unlikely), that's why they play the games. Just because your outlook is.... no! it's still tony! its still Jeff! it's all over! (rightfully so probably) doesn't mean others share that opinion. There's a difference in having an opinion and stating it, and shoving it down everyones throat, and then rubbing it in afterwards. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, we know that's the drum you've been beating for months, some people just like to have the games and the season to look forward to. Theyre entitled to that too. Thats why, in my opinion your posts may rub some the wrong way. But again, that's just an opinion. Personally, I like the banter. I know I've taken shots at some of your posts and attitudes, sometimes, but hey, it is what it is man, that's what this place is for.

Opinions are like *******s. Everyone has one... and it's usually full of ****!

you might of been right about the coach but you were wrong about the QB and the coordinator....so far..

I think Brandon said some things above that were important...I bet you didn't know I was going absolutely crazy for Harbaugh, once I knew we couldn't land him, I looked at our options and thought that Sparano should be retained..Once I came to terms with that, I as a fan am gonna try to create an environment that helps my team win, which to me is not to prejudge decisions until we know or see the facts play out..

I do believe Parcells is a piece of sh^%, I admitted to being wrong about that, and apoligized to all that I defended him against..His goals as an executive were absolutely pathetic and worthy of a good *** kickin in a dark alley.
