I guess we will see what his team is made of, as well as Henne. The team is surprising, and not in a good way so far. This half may define the team for the year.
Two games don't make a season, these two have been bad for a variety of reasons .Things will get uglier by the week until the results change. The phins home field advantage is a joke.
Count me among the "NOT surprised." Sparano is exactly what I expected and the players put in place by Ireland and him are exactly what I expected them to be. If I'm surprised at all, it's by exactly how bad this team has played as a whole. But I said before the season even started that we would be 0-4 or 1-3 at best at the bye.
The team has talent and after the JT sack, fans were getting into it. Then the fumble killed it. The team had the fans in the palm of their hands... then flushed them down the toilet.
With this loss I think I'd predict a win next week versus Cleveland. But that doesn't fix anything because I still see us heading into the by 1-3 and then opening up after the bye with a loss to the Jets to go 1-4. Then we'll return home, where Stephen Ross plans on celebrating Tim Tebow and the Gators, with the Broncos in our house and the crowd absolutely furious. Don't expect Bud Light to be investing in a non-blackout for that one. And hopefully the Dolphins don't hand out anything throwable as free souvenirs for the game.
Personally I think what killed it was when the offense did muster up a drive that got us a FG and brought it to 16-13, the defense answered by allowing a retaliatory touchdown drive. I think for the players, that was when the game was lost. For the fans as well. Although, let's be honest...Chad Henne had the chance to answer back on the next drive but he came up short and they punted. The Bills today, as a for instance, when Oakland did to them what Houston did to us with that Andre Johnson TD pass, the Bills offense answered back with a score...multiple times that happened in the 4th quarter. They showed character. Miami didn't.
I wish the rest of the team had the same heart as Henne. I think we would be a lot better off. This guy has been through a lot and showed a lot of heart and class through it all. Might not be the greatest QB to this point, but heart is something he should never be questioned on.
Hear, hear. I still think he has miles and miles of improving to do, but he is playing okay for a guy who languished in handcuffs for the last 1 1/2 seasons.
Well, what I find encouraging is the players are in the proper position to make things happen, the problem is they are either not performing, or having mental errors. We weren't out schemed by the Texans, we were outperformed. Henne puts the ball on Marshall's hands...he has to make that catch, when you have gimmie FG's, you have to convert on them.
I will admit something. They aren't the sharpest bunch of players I've ever seen... Talented yes, but intelligent no...
