godDAMN it. That's DL depth we can't afford to give up considering these guys retain fluids like a colander.
Hurts the depth, but this is our strongest position on the team. Hopefully its only for a week, and he's back for Cleveland.
Langford, Starks, Odrick, Merling. We should be good to go as far as a regular rotation goes (unless, of course, the entire defense is fatigued ... not that we have seen that happen recently), but my only concern would be in goal-line situations. It was nice to see Odrick make a play on Monday, even though he was relatively quiet for the rest of the game. Perhaps this injury will give him a chance to step up even more. Still, all things considered I'd rather have McDaniel out there instead of Merling, if it were down to that.
He's okay, can play all 4 Dline positions, high energy guy who looked like he was learning how to play last season. I'm a Merling fan though, and think he is sort of buried in perceived disappointment over his production vs draft status, most forget he was as highly ranked as Langford was in 09 per PFF.
