Henne, the team, the coach, we've debated all components of the team, and we all have been right on some things, and wrong on others, for myself, the foundation of my argument is that I felt as though this staff has done enough, in the three years, of building a young team, while keeping a respectable competitive team doing so, that they deserved the 4th year, before we harshly critisize, plain and simple, The bye for me is judgement time.... So now that the team has played a game, and we can see what we really have, lets figure out what we gotta do, and try not to argue anymore, assess what we need, and set some goals for the coach as to what needs to happen for him to prevent a coaching and regime change..I think if they get to 2 and 2 at the bye, I can recharge, and say,ok, you got my attention again, lets see what you do after the bye, but they have to get to 2 and 2.

Lets get to the game and the projection of this team and its direction..

Henne...lol..How interesting is this turn of events?, Henne plays very well, and the team lets HIM down..we'll see if its a good thing and this team will rally, they got 3 games to right the ship..He played really good tonight, under a serious amount of pressure..Can we call him crazy legs or what, lol...What an effortless arm he has..Good for him, I think he was unfairly critisized, and proved that he has talent and upside to be looked at closely as the future..The question will get heated as the season unfolds, whether to stick with Henne, or if we do have a losing season, then should we draft one of the top QB's..The evaluation will be between Henne and the first round picks..It's a good matchup to really watch all season..

What I didn't like about the offense, the philosophy of make a play here, instead of scheming your way in..We did that way too many times, the fade route on 4th down was a ridiculous call, and so was the pass at the 1 yard line...Too much of that thought process when all you need is a yard..

WTH happened to this defense?, well, my thoughts are this...Brady is that good, and is Belicek, lol...So instead of dissecting this mess, lets just know that in order to compete with that team, while that guy is playing QB, should we target a defensive mindset, or offensive one to combat this team for the foreseeable future?

I didn't think Carroll should of made the team, and I thought Sapp would be our 4th or 5th...Both played predictable, and both will need to be upgraded imo..Keep our eye on corners in college..

Man football is a crazy sport, the opening drive couldn't of been scripted any better..Henne throwin and runnin, with the Jack Ramsey ''slamma'' spike in the endzone, man that was cool while it lasted, lol..Hello Mr. Brady....That dudes great man..I feel like what it feels to be the other teams besides the Bulls when Jordan played..From the opening snap where he used his cadence, it was a mindfu^5 for our defense, I really don't know how to critique it, lol..What else you gonna do but laugh, and draft all defense for the next 3 years..

How does a brother let the little white dude, go 99 on him, wassup with that??..lol...Wes welker is a great football player, and should of never been traded...I believe that argument should be dead..

Is there any news that someone poisoned our gatorade pre game?...Why did they look so beat in the first half, I mean after they let up that first drive, they looked like they didn't have their legs?..I just hated their energy and body language..And it wasn't the crowds fault, the apex was there for them to win..enter Brady...and keep drafting defense.

    Bronco fans chanting Tebow...LOL...

Get well soon Chris Clemons...I haven't heard anything about his injury? you all?

Gotta give Henne more props for how he's responded in the face of adversity..I mean to battle those demons and play well, nice job brother..

I've said the staff has til the bye to show if they are our future, tonight they either weren't ready to play, and thats not good, or no excuses, they fix it this week to make it better, and get to the bye at 2 and 2..They do that, and the season is still deserving of support imo..

    Reggie needs to return punts..

I haven't read the board yet, Iam hopin there is no Marshall out for the year thread..

I would like to talk defense but, I'am at a loss for words, nobody stood out, and we gotta deal with brady for 5 more years, lets see if they can rally and put a complete game together on both sides against the texans.

The pressure just went up a notch, lets hope the rest of the team has got a little Henne in them.

No Marshall is fine it's been reported. He was probably just trying to keep the clock stopped so the offense could get ready with only seconds left and no timeouts (but they still couldn't).

Something I didn't like and one can argue that even with Brady's massive game, this game was lost at the goal line. Dolphins got to the 1 yard line twice and only came away with 3 points. Patriots followed both with Touchdowns. The 2nd time the Dolphins got nothing on the fade on 4th down, and thats when Welker got the 99 yard TD right after. That play would have never happened if the Phins scored. Game would've been different. Two big moments the offense actually failed. But it's still the defense that has to take the blame(should've never allowed a 99 yard TD regardless.) Offense didn't come through in the clutch...defense didn't come through at all. Fix it.

This game was a microcosm of the whole year, from offseason, to draft, to lockout, to free agency, through training camp, cutdowns and now. It capsulized everything that Spireland did...but, more importantly, didn't do to improve the team when they could have. Every omission of key positions from personnel acquisition, every free agent they passed on who could have gotten us just one goddamn yard when we needed it, every Free Safety we passed on so we could stay with the garbage we have.

Everything, laid open for viewing on one night.

This is what we are; the Patriots are everything we're not.

Bro I am beyond confused after that loss, the only thing I hope is that Henne doesn't let the lack of defense affect him. He played liked the player I have been preaching to my family, friends, and co-workers but couldn't stop Brady. That 4th and 1 call.... Was just a disgrace you run it, at least if we don't get it no one says "what if he threw a fade...on the 1.... To a covered man". Simple fact is that lousaka polite was a stupid cut, even if we are changing we should room on our team for a goal line specialist. Now let's talk about Larry Johnson... Where was he? We signed him back did we not? Why couldn't he shove it in? Hell we could have QB sneaked it for a better result, but the past is the past. On to the cluster**** of a defense, what the hell happened to conditioning? Cramps, oxygen tanks, and just plain sloppy. We need to find Will Allen sittin in his recliner and get him back here, sapp just won't cut it... In fact he should be cut. Let's bash the refs a little here, did anyone notice the resounding amount of holding on Wake? I mean really rook learn how to play the game legally, hopefully the refs will see all the suit they missed, nothing they can do about it now though. What else.... Oh how we get Clyde gates on punt returns too, let's face it da one bees is mediocre at best when returning punts. I think thats just about all I can mention for now, well I'm off now go phins.

Henne was excellent. I give him propos and I have no complaints about him specifically. But the offense as a whole left alot to be desired. Despite the big yardage and fancy passing we scored 17 non-garbage time points and one TD came after the Odrick INT put us on a short field (although it was great to actually cash that in for a TD, which is something we haven't done)

This Bush experiment is not going to work. I hated it at the time we made the trade and I hate it now. The ocassional big play he'll give you doesn;t balance out the complete lack of skill as an every down RB. Better hope Thomas gets his act together soon.

On the D, they were terrible in every phase. Not much else to say. burnett and Dansby were the invisible men and looked as bad as, or worse than, Crowder when trying in vain to cover Gronk or Hernandez.

Despite the encouraging play of Henne, this is going to be a long season. I think both the O and D will regress to the mean and we are going to be in closer games, and I still don;t trust this offense in those scenarios

You mentioned Crowder. I think that's a good mention. For all the crap, he's gotten, I think he could have helped, even just a little with the communication out there and getting guys at least into the correct spots during the no-huddle at times.

DJ I've been trying to tell you all Summer that Sparano & Ireland are most of the problem. They are not championship caliber coach & GM. You now at least are open to questioning them. I've done so since last year, and think by week 4, you'll be singing the same tune I have since last year. I honestly see us winning only in Cleveland, and by the time they strap it up in NY for the Jets, Sparano could be gone at anytime by then or thereafter. Ireland should be gone at years end. DJ they both failed us, failed Mr Ross, and failed the legacy of Don Shula.

how was the game last nite Schmoot, the crowd showed up no?

In the spectrum of an entire football season, and how things change, and when and if we start the search, I believe at game 5 we will know what direction for sure where to go..That's what I got left, and I feels thats fair.

Did you hear Henne in his presser talk about how his offense could of done a better job, and that there are things they could do to help our defense, really stuck up for them, combine that with how he finished the game, how he was slappin assses when we were gettin beat, I think we really need to keep a close eye on his progression this season, as well as the top guys comin out..

I said before the game ,Dthomas is really important, his skillset has to translate this year, hes got to play if you want Bush to be most effective..I see no reason why he can't play the same role as bush when he gets his reps, he's just a bigger man with more power doing it, I mean we know the kid can get out and catch passes, and do it with some finesse and some power, I see his skillset fitting in this offense..

Jake, The thing you never understand about me, is that, In my mind, I'am always trying to find weakness, all i've defended was, up til this point, i have to give them this year with support, because in my eyes they did a good enough job with a rebuilding job, that I thought was one of the toughest you can find..I've said many times this offseason, on the record, for saying lets give them to the bye and see where were at, but I'am gonna do it with support because i felt they deserved it, that's how your gonna get the best out of a player, so remember, I'am a fan first, but I'am always trying to GM my team..When I went back and studied Henne's tape last year, I felt he played much better than what was being talked about, so because I felt confident that he would hold his own with better variables, I defended him against the critics because I felt he deserved better, and I think its important for a player to have support and belief from their fans, but, the problem that happens, is that you think its just ''blind support and faith'' in players and coaches when its not, its just whats fair relative to performance.

As of right now, they have 4 games left to keep me from start scouting college prospects and coaches, and the funny thing is, that's was my projection all offseason and said so..Our differences stem from me trying to create an evironment for players and coaches to succeed if they deserved it.

Sparano is not an NFL head coach. Jeff Ireland is not a good GM. This will be painfully obvious in a few weeks. They will be able to beat some teams but not playoff teams. This is unacceptable after four years. They had over a month to prepare for New England and they were completely overmatched.

Going into this thing everybody involved knew that New England was the team to beat. The entire rebuild should have been focused on building a team that could take out Brady and the Pats. That's what the Jets have been doing. What has Miami been doing? Four years later and not only can these guys not beat New England, they can't even compete with them.

The Bush experiment would work if they had a running back who could run up the middle so he could just work the outside and catch screens and checkdown passes, which he looked good doing. Will it be Daniel Thomas? Uhhh...who knows. Should have kept Ricky just in case.
