Come on. There's no period. He played fantastic tonight, but he played a terrible pass defense and its one game. Hope he does continue to play like that, because he certainly looked like he may have indeed turned hat corner..
Well lets not put this on Henne here, he can't do anything until Daboll gets the play in to him. That's what made NE's no huddle so lethal tonight. It almost seemd liked right after Brady threw the ball, before the play was over that they had the next play already on its way in so they gave us zero time to sub guys in/out. They just totally abused us with it tonight. They did it so quick, so efficient, that we stood no chance. Their staff takes preparation to a whole new level.
Hard to throw in teh redzone when the opposing team knows you cant run. sorry but henne made most throws that were there. Yeah he missed a couple but d didnt care about run at all, makes it really hatrd on henne
I think it's funny how everyone here thought our defense was the **** and now that they had ONE horrible game all the sudden we need to "fire the coaches and rebuild our defense" LMAO!!! They had a rough night and Benny Sapp sucks....not the end of the world. As much as we totally blew on D, Wake was getting mauled all night with no calls and Henne came close to matching Brady's #'s with the exception of one horrible play among many from Benny Sapp. This won't happen again, our D was pathetic but will rebound....Wake was seriously rapped all night and I just don't understand how they didn't call any holding calls outside of the one.......RIDICULOUS!!
Yeah, that's my reaction. You've been here long enough. You know how its going to go at the end of the year, or in a few weeks, or even tomorrow when some people here assess the game. Theyre going to rip him apart for the INT as if it cost us the game, then we're going to debate his lower QBR as a result because the INT factors in to it and people take that stat as gospel as well. Hell, how many threads did we have last year, and all offseason about his TD/INT ratio last year, when most of us know from watching the game that a handfull of those INT's were a result of dropped passes, or in garbage time that were irrelevant. So don't give me that crap, you know exactly what I'm referring to.
Well, it's clearly Henne's team now. Would love to see him take control and bring it back mentally from this debacle. Time to watch film.
In case you missed it, Im not saying he did. Im saying some here will look at it that way. Maybe nto tomorrow, but probably in a few weeks/months or at the end of teh year if things fall apart... I've been a big Henne supporter here since day one. I'm a Michigan fan as well, so Im thrilled he's here and its working out. Always knew it would. The QB I saw here under Henning, was NOT the QB I watched for years at Michigan. Tonight, was IMO.
I was honestly rooting for you guys. Jake Long had a disappointing game to be honest. #27 & #28 are horrible.
Well, to look at it on the bright side, every weakness and deficiency on our team was exposed tonight, and it shouldn't take a staff of coaching geniuses to see them on film, live and in color, so they can be addressed one by one.
We have a smart defense, with a smart defensive coordinator. When we play a field general that outwits us for 60 minutes, we are gonna look like the worst defense in the league. Nothing changed from last years defense, and we played the same way we did last year against the Patriots. I expect a similar trouncing from them the second time we play them, but it doesnt mean that the season is lost. As good as Matt Schaub and Phillip Rivers are I dont expect them to play nearly as well as brady did today.
Like I said Dam you Henne if it werent for that we would have won the game dammit. Are you seriously ripping Henne for that? Gimme a break Um we give up a 99 yd td pass, about a thousand yards to the pats yet Henne sucks he didnt get the ball off sooner seriously?
Great game by Henne and the offense. Defense and Nolan need to shape up. Nolan Carrol has played his last game as a Dolphin as far as I'm concerned. Where is Will Allen? Goodnight.
Thats what you get when your head coach is an idiot. Look at all his screw ups on game days over the years. Way more than other coaches make. And his evaluation of talent, well thats a horse of another colour. He's gotta go.
Exactly!! This won't happen again.....our D had the worst night possible. We will fix the problem areas and come back angry and fixed against Houston
Not a great game by the offense. It was passable overall, looked a lot better because of the 4th QTR defense.
I know wasnt refering to you, refering to people yelling he didnt get the play off. As if we were getting multiple plays off with 16 seconds vs 6 and a tipped int. I mean yeah it should have been faster but to say that is all henne, it is wrong if noone knows teh play cant get them lined up, sidelines more responsible for that. But even so, Henne wasnt the responsible one for the loss
There's no reason to even reply to someone that believes that muscle. One of the most ridiculous assumptions I've ever heard, and there's a lot on this board..
Totally disagree with you. He was a leader , he made quick decisive decisions , he ran well and moved the chains , he was sharp , he was in shape , he continued what he showed in pre season , he was pressured and made plays , if he isn't this teams QB then I am not sure what you need to see to feel that. He isn't the second coming , but he definitely showed me , tonight , that this organization hindered him , not helped him until this off season , where he took it on himself to get better . He also has a coordinator that is and will utilize him to his strengths not try to stuff him into 1965. Just my opinion though.
That was my point... I wasnt ripping henne for it, as I said earlier, I've been a fan of his since Michigan, since im a Michigan fan... I was saying, we have folks here, that in due time, will use that INT against him for their own agenda's if given the opportunity. Its sad, but true.
I know cut him now and strart Moore yeah thats it., The silver lining is the defense is better than what they showed. The offense hopefully gets better when Thomnas gets healthy to add a dimension we missed I mean 4th at the 1/2 yd line and we cant run it in? THAT had better get fixed.
Um its simply not true in the least.....and if it were to heppen, it would someone that doesn't understand football and no one would care what they say anyways
I hear ya, I agree. It can, and will happen though. It happened around here last year unfortunately. Recently before this season started! I hope he shuts everyone up with more and more performances like tonight
He had very good games through out his career, him being consistent is his issue. I love what he did. But let him play a few solid games before there's an end to that discussion...
