They finally started putting a little pressure on Brady near the end of the half and the results spoke for themsevles. Throws off the mark and holding penalties. They need to find a way to exploit that depleted offensive line.
Lol...I was wondering exactly the same thing.......on one play...he litterally held wake down with both hands
JT did the defense a service by laying there for a while with that injury. They had a real chance to catch their breath.
The off tackle/inside runs haven't been that bad really. We've called 3 runs outside the tackles and we've only got 3 yards to show for it. The biggest play was called back for holding with off-set penalties.
Once again this year we are playing shorthanded in the return game. Not that it is that important mind you.
ST's coverage still hasn't been good. I'll say this. My biggest beef with the defense has been the tackling. It's been terrible. Maybe it's a product of the very few padded practices. Their scheme has just beat ours. You just tip your cap.
still no pressure... Sapp goes for the int and of course doesn't get it but he's beaten so badly he never had a chance anyways. He's awful. Id be calling up Will Allen. hopefully we just cut him so his contract wouldnt be guaranteed. too many men on the field now.. Merling..
The law firm cut back right into our blitz and we missed him. Our tackling has allowed them to get big plays and turn negative plays into positive plays.
I'm seriously at a loss as to what people expect from a defense against New England. 14 points is pretty much as good as it gets against them. Yes, field position sucked, but if you can't overcome that, you won't beat the Patriots. They'll score 24-28 against every defense and they'll pin every offense down.
