lol. Yup, I heard he was a potential top 10 pick whom we should trade up for.

 

IMO it was more about a team wisely conducting its due diligence rather than actively pursuing Palmer, Orton, etc. There's nothing wrong with checking into Palmer in case you can get him for a bargain. We needed a backup QB, and Henne needed to be pushed, so we looked at all the options out there. I don't see that as an indictment of anything, nor do I believe anything should be read into it.

 

I can only hope PART 2 is "What REALLY happened with the HC situation this offseason..."

I think this article tells us nothing new. We obviously wanted to upgrade the Qb position and Matt Moore was the fallback option if we couldn't get guys like Orton or Palmer. Not exactly the ringing endorsement of Henne people seem to be implying here in these posts. Nothing is settled with our Qb position, Henne still hasn't proven he is our future, hopefully everything works out this year but its not really a great article about our front office's failure to address THEIR OWN concerns about the Qb position in the draft or via trade or free agency, settling for Henne and Moore because they couldn't do any better isn't exactly great news to me as a fan. I am behind Henne, he is our guy this year, I hope he proves everyone that believes in him right and everyone that doesn't wrong.
