I don't think he does next week, maybe against the Bengals.

probably not. Cam's still very much on the hotseat. If he could win another game, then he at least has a case worth sticking with.

Cleo gets rewarded for taking care of the ball and finishes the year out as starter. Cam wanted to sit Beck all year anyways. I think the next time we see him is in the preseason. JMO

    Beck isn't ready.

Start him next year and bring in a viable veteran to guide the team if he can't cut it.

It wasn't Cameron's idea to start Beck in the first place.

Beck may see time against the Bengals, but I don't think he'll start.

Lemon needs to be re-signed. its obvious he can play, he had a few bad games but the guy CAN play. hes what, a 3rd or 4th year guy? he'd be an excellent backup, or ya never know...starter. just look at Derek Anderson.

if Lemon leaves next year, whos gonna play? Beck isnt ready. Green has to retire. a veteran may not be so good, u cant draft and start another rookie. they NEED to re-sign him and im sure Lemon knows that, so he'll probably ask for big money too since its a NEED.

also Greg Camarillo....i thought nothing of him until today. with Marty Booker, Lorenzo Booker, Ted Ginn, Greg Camarillo....perhaps we dont need to sign or draft another receiver, just a tight end. unless Marty goes, u can sign someone like bryant johnson

Let Cleo start the rest of the season. Give beck a few series as on the job training. Set up Beck to win in the future, we aren't going to be able to project anything with just two games left.

I don't think we need a TE either... PEELE has definitely shown he has the talent and ability to fill the position if you ask me...

Peelle IS good, but hes still the 2nd TE on our depth chart. David Martin can catch, but he cant block for shiz. itd be nice to draft a TE to be our 2nd one. I do like Peelle, even Halterman can be a 2nd TE.

im just having trouble now figuring out what this offense needs this off-season. Ginn, LBooker, Hagan, Camarillo seem to be a good WR corps (inconsistent, but GOOD)....Peelle and Martin being a backup at TE....then Ronnie/Jesse/Ricky at RB, and Lemon and Beck at QB.....Carey/Lekkerkerker or Mormino/Satele/Hadnot/Shelton.....what exactly do we need to draft on offense???? perhaps sign Max Starks to take Sheltons spot, and thats it?

i wish our offense was more consistent. those guys HAVE potential, they are just so inconsistent. i used to rant about needing offensive firepower this draft, but after today it seems like we have that down....maybe we just need some OL.

Listen, I know we're all high on today's win, but that doesn't mean this team is suddenly competitive, and that we're only a couple of players away from contention.

Nothing changes. We still need to rebuild the entirety of the defense. We still need an All-Pro TE, at least one offensive lineman, and two WRs.

Beck isn't ready this season. He'll be ready next season. Lemon will start in 2008 only by overwhelmingly winning a competition in training camp.

oh i totally agree, man. first off im not high on Beck anyway, his age turns me off the most. Secondly i do think we need an All-Pro TE also, but Peelle can do the job for now...but hes certainly NOT all-pro.

our defense DOES need a total rebuild, and im sure the draft is gonna do just that. but WR??? u dont think Ginn/LBooker/Hagan/Camarillo can do the job??

Beck will be 27 next year. Assuming he's the guy, that means we'll have a franchise QB for 10 years. What exactly is wrong with that?

No, I don't think the current cast of characters can get the job done. Ginn is a keeper; Lorenzo Booker should be converted to slot WR. Beyond those two, I see nothing. I was high on Hagan, but he's got all of Chambers' bad attributes and none of his good ones. Camarillo is a special teams guy. Marty Booker is out of here.

An All-Pro TE will take the pressure off the WRs, but we still need work in that area big-time.

i dont see many QBs playing in their prime around the ages of 34-38. i think if Beck is the guy, he will only be franchise QB for 6-7 years.

to me it looks like our OL needs the most help...Carey is a lock LT, Satele a lock at C, and id like to sign Max Starks for the right price at RT. then at Guard u have Liwenski, Mormino, Hadnot, Shelton, Toledo, Alabi, Lekkerkerker, Mrucscowski....8 guys competing for 2 OG spots. so is it necessary to draft or sign an OG?

He doesn't have to be in his prime in order to be effective. He can taper off beginning at about age 33 and he could still be our best QB since Marino.

Hadnot has a good chance of leaving; neither Liwienski or Lekkerkerker are locks for a starting job next year. Shelton is very likely next year's RT. That leaves RG and LG open. If Mormino pans out, then one slot is open.

i didnt see the game, but i saw we gave up 5 sacks. was that the OL's fault? or was the defense putting too much pressure that not even the best OL coulda stopped? and did the sacks come from the outside (poor OT blocking) or inside (poor OG/C blocking)?

Not sure I agree. I think VC needs to move back where he is dominate and perhaps we can get a LT in either FA or a steal late rounder in the draft.

Right Tackle is an easier position than Left Tackle. The fact that Carey has made the switch so effortlessly tells us--well, me, at least--that he should stay there. Compounding the decision is the fact that Carey himself wants to stay at LT, and has gained something of an "I will prove everyone wrong" attitude. So far, he's done just that.

LG, RG, and RT are our concerns going into the offseason. Shelton's contract needs to be reworked: he has a Left Tackle-caliber contract, but he's not playing that position. If he doesn't agree to restructuring, he may be cut. Hadnot is a free agent after this season and may get a big chunk of change due to the current inflated market for guards. And LG... I don't think anyone believes Liwienski or Lekkerkerker have that position on lockdown.

Drew Mormino is the X-factor in all this. If he's bulked up by training camp, he's practically secured a guard spot just by showing up.
