I can't connect my PS3 my router anymore. I keep getting errors. It's the same router i am using for my pc and i have no problem, but getting PS3 to work is pissing me off. It was working since i got it a week ago, but all of a sudden it kicked me off and stopped working. It works wired but not wireless. I even retested my settings. Am i going to have to restore to factory settings?
this happened to me once and all i had to do was go out and buy a 360 and the problem was solved. seriously, though, try restoring both your router and PS3 back to factory defaults, then plan a couple days to get the firmware updated again on the PS3. You can back up your data on your PS3 with a thumb drive, its actually pretty easy. I reset my PS3 a few months ago for S&G's and it was cake.
This happened to me about 7 months ago, and continued until I decided to buy a new router. The restore factory settings attempt did not work, as I thought that is what I should. However after buying the new router it hasnt happened once in the 5 months since. Sucks to possibly have to pony up to buy a new router, but i went a bought a mid level priced one and it worked.
well i just bought it so ill prob do the switch a roo at walmart and return this one. Ill give it a shot. There are times where the internet works but after 20 min it kicks me out. Its so frustrating because the router works for me pc but cant for my ps3.
Same thing for me bro, I would suggest trying to get a different model when you do the switch. To me it just seemed the model i had was incompatibale with the PS3, it worked on my WII and 360 with no issues, day one it just game me an error code and disconnected me from the PSN.
