I can't fiqure out how these jerkoffs think the bills are better than us.We have a top 5 defence this year and the bills have nothing.I don't get it.

Because they see what a lot of people that don't look at the Dolphins through Orange & Aqua colored glasses see. A team that will win 6 or 7 games this year. The Bills could win 8 or 9, Jets 9 or 10 and New England probably 12 or 13.

Based on..what? The bills had the worst run d in the nfl, they added Barnett, this improves the whole unit?

Please, we also own the jets, and have as good a record vs the pats over the last 3 yrs as anyone in the NFL.

Pads, I saw what happened last year after they lost those last 3 home games. I saw the effort in NE. Getting our clocks cleaned again this year by NE and then beaten by the Texans, and then struggle against an emerging Colt McCoy (playing in a system that now suits him), then getting beat up by San Diego......starting the year 0-4 is a REAL possibility. At that point with 1/4 of the season done, and you are 0-4, I think the team will be beat for the rest of the season between the ears.

    Simple as that.

If this does happen, and recent history has shown this could happen for this franchise, they might win 6 games. You could get a lot of efforts the same as you saw in NE last year.

The game against NE is I believe the most important game this regime has ever played. More so than the victory over the Jets in the Meadowlands in 2008.

lol, not worth getting worked up over. We will finish 3rd, maybe if the pieces fall into place early, we can compete for 2nd place.
If it makes you feel any better Mike Golic now thinks we win 6 games instead of 3 or 4

I care simply because the NFL media is jobbing us and it is grossly unfair, almost malpractice.

The Panthers ahead of us? The Bills?

I'd love to hear the people who cry about our Oline, and agree with this, explain the ranking in terms of how poor the Bills OL is.

Then explain how the jests could be crushed 44-3 or whatever it was, then bounced back to beat the patriots at home, in the playoffs?

Okay, your facts are skewed, but that is your choice.

What do you think the media should be saying? That we're Super Bowl bound?

This isn't a matter of life and death. So Mike Florio thinks we will suck, who gives a hoot?

I was surprised to hear John Gruden today tell greeny on the mike and mike show that the Dolphins are a much better team this season than given credit for. They will surprise a lot of people this year.

What about all the games we won or came close last year and the effort involved in those?

It is absolutely bizarre to me, how the effort at the end of a brutal season with numerous injuries, is the indicator for this year, and all the great games we played indicates nothing.

They should offer up reasons for their predictions beyond "a handful of fans chanted we want Orton" or "steve ross talked to jim harbaugh"

These guys are such knuckleheads, they always forget the only thing that matter is the talent on the field and the scheme they are running and how the talent matches the scheme vs the competition, that was their mistake with Vick and to a lesser extent, Wake.

Bills are starting a turnstill at LT, the jets RT Hunter is possibly worse then Colombo, and yet their 53% Qb means they are a playoff team?

Consider the panthers, they play in the NFCS with the Saints, Bucs, and Falcons, and yet per PFT with Newton at Qb they are ranked ahead of us? Has Florio picked up a meth habit?

I frankly don't care about what happens to other teams, but I know my Dolphins history, and what has recently been a rather disappointing history of late. Our history has been of getting blown out by NE more often than beating them. I haven't seen ANYTHING in pre-season that has changed my mind about how we will do against them. The OLine problems just may kill this team, and how disappointing considering its the specialty of the Head Coach. NE will drain every ounce of information out of Edds, and get enough tidbits to be able to jam our offense, and learn enough about the defense to exploit some weakness he tells them about. BB is the master of this kind of strategy.

Which facts are skewed ? I believe this game against NE sets the tone for the next 3 games at least. If they lose all 4 (which I believe is very possible, more likely lose just 3 of them) I think at that point that Ross will say he's seen enough and Sparano will be gone. Ross can't afford to do nothing, and let the team end up with 1 or 2 wins at home again. This is a business, and another 1 or 2 win home season will kill even more season tickets.

I can see where they might believe the bills could be better, but I don't understand the panthers. They have a bad team with a rookie QB.

Listen everyone...NO ONE in media world believe Henne can be a good QB. That's why we are picked to finish last.

So, you're upset b/c people (who have no control over our team's Ws & Ls) predict we will finish 4th not 3rd? Where's your outrage about them not saying we'll finish first? Wow.

The universe has some sense of humor because as a long time dolfan I remember when stinkin jest fans thought the same way. 'At least we're not the worst in the division.' 'I don't care how many games we win as long as we sweep MIA.' They were laughed at and pitied. Not an attack on you but c'mon man, don't be like them.

Because when ALL was on the line, when it was "just win out and get a playoff spot" and you couldn't win but one game (in NY in a game in which both teams offenses STUNK), also playing 3 of the traditionally GOD AWFUL franchises ALL AT HOME and you manage to LOSE ALL of them, and then give an effort in NE that was tepid even if you are a rah-rah type, that is why I have a "PROVE IT TO ME" attitude now.

This team needs to show me they want to win, not just talk about it.

Your frankly do not care amounts to little else but "I will ignore that which does not support my views".

Nah, pats are one of the best offenses in the NFL, in game #1 which amounts to preseason gm #5, the Chargers and Browns games will set more of a tone.

I don't think the Bills make the playoffs, but they very well could win one more than the Dolphins. Anyone that thinks that is outrageous or goofy is just not looking at reality. We are an injury to Henne away from being possibly a worse team than just about anyone in the league. Even though I don't think Henne is our answer at QB, he is infinitely better than anyone else on this roster.

That is the stupid pick, even I agree with that. The Panthers I believe will still stink and if the Dolphins do stink, we better pray that Cincy or the Panthers finishes worse not someone that didn't pick a QB in this years draft, because that might be our saving grace for getting Luck or Barkley.

this is what i dont get... some fans say others have Aqua colored glasses, but others here have the complete opposite... what is the logic that the Bills can win 8 or 9? what have you scouted that tells you that? what will have the Dolphins win less games than last year, where have they downgraded?

some people just base these opinions with seemingly nothing behind it, why?

Toughness of the schedule for one.....our schedule is beyond FRONTLOADED. If they struggle, like I feel they will, then it becomes more of a psychological problem, which in the NFL is huge. Many of the teams really have similar talent, so much of it then comes down to how the team feels mentally. If you start out 1-3 or 0-4 it is SOOOOOO tough to remain hopeful because of the mountain you then need to climb back up to get into the playoff race. You start out 1-3, then you need to win 10 of the last 12 to realistically make the playoffs. You seriously think the team can do that ?

    The answer is simple:

Patriots - Bill Bellichik and Tom Brady (see preseason pick Don Shula and Dan Marino)
Jets - Rex Ryan defense with quarterback that has been in the playoffs and won (see preseason pick Chicago Bears and Rex Grossman).
Bills - Default to hope to the "promise" of a second year regime (see 2009 Miami Dolphins).
Dolphins - They don't buy into Chad Henne as an NFL starter and they don't think the players will buy into "lame duck" Tony Sparano.

That is the offseason code that the national media is following.

There ain't that much to be gleaned offensively. Edds doesn't know the gameplan. He's never been in an offensive meeting. He hasn't even seen 50% of the playbook on the practice field. The audibles are different.

Defensively, they've got two games worth of film from last season to go over.

Edds ain't gonna make a lick of difference. That's like assuming Yeatman is gonna expose their 4-3 defense to us. Yet for some reason, that gets brushed aside by most folks. Like our coaches are too stupid to extract or use information the way we assume the Patriots coaches will. Or that backup Edds saw so much more of our offense than backup Yeatman saw of their defense.

It's like the Saban quote. We're worrying about mouse poop when there's elephant **** everywhere.

As to the topic, I couldn't care less what the national media predicts. They don't know anything. I resent when they're getting paid to know nothing. Nobody likes being disrespected, but I'll gladly take it and wipe their noses in it when we exceed expectations.

I am not concerned about the QB position to the level I was before preseason. Henne looked WAY improved and the system seems to fit him well. My biggest concern, and I keep repeating it, is Carey and Columbo. They showed me nothing this year. I don't understand what the staff is seeing that I/we are not. We will only be as good as those two positions will allow us to be.

I am just hoping that there is more to those two guys that what we have seen. Alot more.

I've said it to pop warner parents: Players know their position. They know how their position fits in a scheme. That is their job.

Edds (or any other player) has bread crumbs that lead a trail but eventually the trail takes a right or left where no bread crumb were dropped.
