I swear he uses a template.

They will be the toughest x we face in x. Bring up some obscure stat where they've greatly improved or dominate. Mention their playmakers. Explain it will be a challenge. We must play for 60 mins. Rinse Lather Repeat.

Eh, who cares what he has to say?

He stated the obvious that the Defense is good, then tossed a bone about the offense and ST,

WTH, he's just being honest guys. lol. Our defense scares the panties of him & Brady..... or thong if we're nitpicking. He no longer has a void at LB to pick on in the passing game, and our Dline is a beast against the run. IMO our defense matches up very well against NE's offense.

Plus our offense & Henne has already beaten him & Brady prior to Marshall, Bush, and Daboll.

He does use a template. He prepares his answers to all possible questions ahead of time and then he just goes out there with answers already in his head.

Typical BB, he praised and didn't say anything that we didn't already know. Although I do guess that there are several media members who know so little about us that maybe he was informing them.

While I think we match up better than we did last year, I'm still fearful it's not good enough and we won't slow them down. Our only hope, IMO, we need both multiple sacks and a couple of picks to win this game. I'd say a better matchup is our offense vs their defense.

The one thing that worries me is tackling there small guys like Woodhead and Welker, their offense is unchanged in terms of personnel from 2010 and they were really good in 2010, so we need Bell/Burnett/Dansby to put those quick guys on the ground when they have the chance to put them down as our offense is just going to be hit and miss as they learn what works and what doesn't.

Typical BB. If he says we are good, it means he thinks we are ZERO threat to his team. Better would be for him to not say that much. If he was quieter I would think maybe he is a little worried, but that is a LOT of talking for BB. He uses reverse psychology like the great coaches have done for ever.

Based on this I would guess you've never heard BB speak about an opponent before. BB always says positive things about his opponents. He says they're good when they're good and he just praises individual players or mentions a recent win when they're clearly not that good of a team.

Considering Sparano's record against him, I think he means every word of it. He never judged us based on our record, as did and continue to do all the BS pundits in the media.

The Patriots were always capable of creating mismatches with Wes Welker vs. us. Now with the emergency of Davis & Smith, we are capable of bracketing Welker with an athletic LB & and athletic DB. Last year, they really used their TE's & RB's (mainly Woodhead) to their advantage. Now, we have the capability of pairing up multiple athletic LB's (addition of Burnett) & multiple DB's (Jones, Carroll, & Wilson) to help cover their little flat passes.

The key now is as simple. We need to pressure Tom Brady and tackle well. If we can tackle well and limit YAC, and get some pressure on Brady, I don't know if there are many mismatches they can throw against us. They have great depth at the TE & RB position, but we know have formidable depth at the LB & DB position.

Guys, C'mon. These are the immortal words of Bellickeck the Great. Just take it and be friggin' happy. :pointlol:

Seriously, sure he's going to say nice or positive things about us just as any coach would do. That's just being professional or whatever. He's not going to come out and say we suck. but if you read the whole article, you'll see that he does go into a bit more detail about our team rather than just some very vague, general statements. I just posted a couple. I know that is still just "coach speak", but we know he's studied our team in depth and the comments aren't just based on some general BS. Such as, aside from the one which I originally posted:
    "
Again, it may just be "coach speak", but being our opponent, they've obviously studied our team and it does get a bit more specific. He mentioned our potential strengths and it's true. You notice that he didn't mention Henne, right? If he was just saying the typical, general or vague compliments of his opponent, he probably would have mentioned our QB and our passing game, no? (not bashing Henne, just saying) If nothing else, it's just an analysis of our team from our upcoming opponent and division rival and from a coach and staff whom most here adore and for good reason. Is he wrong? Just put it in it's proper perspective and be friggin' happy! It's only several days before he embarrasses us, right? :tongue2: Peace!!

Expect a lot of short stuff to come Sean Smith's way for this reason. He's our weakest tackler.

They could neutralize Bush by blitzing a guy from the weak side a bunch early, then continuing to blitz and fake the blitz to that side the rest of the game. Kepp Reggie home to block a lot more.

If that happens Henne absolutely must make them pay with a ball behind the blitz (to Fasano or perhaps the short route receiver to that side.

maybe it's just me, but every time he talks about our team prior to games, it always comes across as patronizing (considering how much of a douche he is).

well, a douche that happens to be a great coach, that is.

bb is a heck of a coach, i don't expect to hear much of anything from him that will be at all helpful, just a bunch of words strung together. in the first game last season we hung tough in the first half and got abused in the second half. the second game is a complete loss for any type of info, guys were looking forward to vacation. so the first game had a couple of fixable issues. special teams killed us that game. Are we better this year, i sure hope so. we kept some special teams guys like spitler and trusnik. we have to have better specials on monday, would have been great to see livas bring one to the house for us, oh well not to be. our inability to run the ball effectively also really killed us last year, pats basically put in extra coverage guys and we could not beat their guys at the line of scirmmage, and our backs could not make them pay. Our oline has to play better than last year to win this game, our backs must run hard with authority and make them pay if they dare us to run. yes there were other areas where we could have been better, but if we have fixed these to areas then the pats game plan from last year is nullified. of course that was a long long time ago in another season.
