I agree, but there are 4 people who want in. Expanding to 14 only allows two of them in. I'd rather stay at 12 teams and let the 4 guys in as co-managers. Just a word of warning for those looking to trade picks this year: Yahoo doesn't let you trade 2011 picks officially, just 2012 picks. If you work out a trade for picks/players this year, there's no way for me to adjust the draft order, so you'll basically have to draft each other's players and then trade them after the draft. Edit: Actually... I'm customizing the league and keeper settings right now, and I can make your draft pick trades official. That is, I can set a custom draft order that reflects your draft pick trades. So feel free to work out trades as you wish, and post them in this thread when you've agreed to a deal. Draft pick trades are not subject to voting like in-season player trades are; I will approve all draft pick trades without regard for how fair or unfair they are, or if you wind up with less than 16 draft picks on draft day and thus have open holes on your roster after the draft. That is YOUR problem. When you agree to a trade, please post it in this thread, and have all involved parties publicly agree to the trade. If you've been in the GM League, you know how this works. Trade on, fellas.
So im a free agent... I go to the highest bidder for my assistance! I'll partner with anyone who wants my help lol
Haven't received any notifications of pick trades, so at this point I'm assuming that nothing will happen on that front and will busy myself with last-minute draft prep. Less than 24 hours to the draft, gentlemen.
We now have our own Nevin Shapiro. PTG can add you as a co-manager in his team settings page. Hopefully you can see the league by now; for sure you'll be able to view and chat in the draft, though you can't submit picks.
ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio's Latest Rumor: Aqua4Ever04 contemplating selecting Chad Henne with his first round draft selection, also disses Derrick Mason calling him old. Channing Crowder would agree with him on the latter.
Well, because you asked nicely, and because I just finished drafting in GISH's league (thus recalling that 1:30 really isn't that long of a period of time…) I set it back to 90 seconds per draft pick rather than 60 seconds. You're welcome.
Same here. I see places that need to be improved but overall I'm pretty pleased with my team. Definitely open to trade offers if anyone wants to make them, though. Speaking of trades, I'd like to remind everyone that there's a one day waiting/voting period (not the Yahoo! standard two day period) for trades. Feel free to discuss pending trades and votes here in the thread.
Glad I have #1 waiver priority so I can stash Williams on IR and still have my first pick of what's left. Can't wait for Thursday.
I'm surprised more people didn't try this tactic. Should pay dividends for you next year, assuming Williams can play ball.
I don't buy that crap. In one of my other leagues Yahoo gave the best draft award to a guy who took 2 Kickers and 2 DST's. That's damn sure not the best draft.
Yeah, right. I'm happy with my draft, but not THAT happy. I can think of two or three teams who drafted better than I did.
Yeah, saw it and edited my post. That's such a lie, I did not have the best draft. I'm set for the next 3-4 years, but there are teams set for the next 5.
I tried to strike a mix between proven vets and young guys with upside. I should be good for a few years depending on how my RB situation shakes out.
Looks a little premature at this point. But he'll definitely miss a decent amount of the season, it seems.
I took Peyton Manning in the 6th round of one of my drafts yesterday because I couldn't pass up the value. Glad I came back in the 9th and backed him up with Matt Ryan.
Ryan in the 9th is a bigger steal than Manning in the 6th, IMO. I thought Ryan would last a little longer in our draft; IIRC, he went in the 3rd round. That was really surprising.
I'm glad I got Josh Freeman where I did with all this recent Manning news. I would be fine with him as my starter, so it worked out well for me.
