I'd doubt he is starting Omark only tweeted that he had a new position, I'd guess he is Murtha's possible replacement?
So, heading into the season opener, a Monday night game against our strongest division rival, we're still going to be tinkering with the starting five. Not to mention replacing a horrible player (Colombo) with the only player on the roster worse than him.
Not really, with Murtha going down Jerry has to have some practice time at both tackle spots in case he has to fill in sometime during the season.
We haven't tinkered with the starting 5 all preseason. Also, I believe the tweet said Jerry was practicing at RT, not starting.
Jerry never even played RT in preseason. Saw him mostly at RG, some at LG and maybe 2 series at LT. That is why we never signed any other FA linemen, waiting for regular season to unleash our secret weapon...Baby J!
The fact that Jerry even made the team is a complete surprise to me. I guess Ireland just didn't want to admit that he blew his 3rd round pick last year. It would not surprise me in the least if Jerry is cut after the Patriots game and the Dolphins bring in O'Hara or another veteran lineman. It also wouldn't surprise me if the Dolphins are as ineffective on the offense line as I think they will be against the Patriots that Carey is not also cut very soon.
I believe this is the norm Mr C among the backups Mr C, they like to at least get guys some reps just in case.
nice to see Grigsby on the ps along with Brackett and Jones. I think our ps isn't looking too bad, a few guys look real promising. on another note I saw that the Bengals claimed Mickey Shuler....
Glad we were able to hold onto Grigsby and Devlin on the PS for now, shame we couldnt do the same with Spears however.

Kearse to likely be the last named member of the practice squad. He was cut to make room for Yeatman.
Color me confused then; Padre said he was named the first team RT. I don't see him practicing with the first team if someone else is going to start.
