NE had Waters in for a workout and did talk contract. Gurode is scheduled for a visit. They are looking to upgrade RG, and it seems like they will sign one of the two.

NE and Waters reached an agreement this morning per ESPN.

Waters was good enough for NE but not Sparano ?? I don't get it. Probably the best G on the market right now. We have a need at G, even if it were for a backup. I guess 2+2 doesn't equal 4 in Ireland/Sparano's eyes...

If Carey struggles & Brian Waters flourishes, it will be a move that Ireland could rue. I'm interested to see the money he gets.

This makes me want to puke. Stinking NE gets Waters and we are stuck with Carey who looks washed up.

You and me and the rest of the posters in dolphinland see a need for G, not really sure the FO does.......

Predicament 2, If Thomas doesn't meet expectations or goes down and Bush has to carry that load or Hilliard could be another move Ireland regrets and panics trying to find replacement when it's to late.......

This team with all the backups the FO enjoys bringing in is in a situation of really needing to have our offensive players remain healthy throughout the season ....and that is usually a rarity to happen..........

Been reading some Chiefs fan who say the same thing about Waters.

    That he's clearly in decline.

He allowed no sacks, 3 hits and 8 pressures in 1065 snaps last season. That is the last time they saw him play and they call that a decline. Maybe his run blocking fell off a little, but the man can pass block like that, we could use him.

edit: That was the regular season I was referring to. He did allow 1 sack in their wild card game, so the last game the team played. So since he finally gave up a sack in the 17th game, he is declining. Stupid Chiefs fans imo.

That is why the Patriots are a legitimate Super Bowl contender every year and the Dolphins are merely a mediocre team, at best.
