-You have to realize though that it is similar to the situation with black people... If I call a black person the n word most will crucify me. If a black person calls another black person the n word, it is fine. Same when a dolphin fan talks trash about a fellow dolphin, it is criticism but when an outsider says something it is smack talk unless said in a certain way. The only difference in our situation was that you didn't criticize, you stated that he was going to fail with no facts or info of any sort, making your statement LOOK like it was intended to get a rise out of people. The only facts about your position on the Merriman part was that he did well in the first preseason game and the other kid did acknowledge that but it seems like you ignored it. -Of course he is going to be defensive, you are an outsider coming onto our board! He isn't trying to attack you -At the same time you were doing the same thing to him by manipulating his words and trying to prove you were right. Everyone does this in an argument, this is how you sway peoples opinions.
lol.. Quote from ''circlin wagons''...''Looked pretty swole tonight'' Thats gonna be real funny if true, might not be able to live this thread down if the case..
lol Don't get your hopes up, finfans...this is a non-issue. Also, his knee is fine...he's sitting out due to a minor groin strain, but Gailey said if it was Week 1 he'd be out there no question. You're not that lucky, sorry
Lucky... We're talking about a bum like Merriman here, not real players like Cam Wake or James Harrison.
He hasn't been 'healthy' in years. A guy who hasn't done jack since 2007 doesn't belong in the same breath with a two-way guy who had 14.5 sacks last season. - sent from my EVO 3D -
Cam Wake's had one good season, so pardon me if I don't anoint him as the second coming of Jeebus. I could spend literally hours here naming NFL players who've had one good season. Merriman is healthy for the first time in years...he played 9 plays, was held on a sure-sack (that Dareus ended up getting), recorded 2 sacks, and 3 solo tackles. He's back, Muck...I hate to be the bearer of bad news
Perhaps if they circled the Bills last year then they wouldn't have gotten ousted from playoff contention by them, no?
You're saying a guy that ain't done it in four years is better than a guy that just did it. How does that make compute? Got news for ya. Jake Long ain't Jamarcus Webb. Pretty sure George Edwards will keep Juicebox on the other side of the field. You leave him there, he'll be erased. - sent from my EVO 3D -
Who is back on the juice? And it's amazing you put more value in what Merriman does in one preseason game than what Wake has done in one season.
Hypocrite much? You guys are putting a hell of a lot more value into Henne/Daboll's one game against a dogsh*t team than I am about SM
ahh...I miss the good ol' days of smack talking like this with you clowns Merriman will have more sacks than Wake this season...book it
Who is "you guys"? I don't need anyone to throw your trash back in your face. And considering you started a thread about Merriman that would another bet you would lose.
One thread about Merriman...I'm willing to bet there's more sunshining threads in the main forum...I'm also willing to bet there's a few of your homer posts sprinkled in those threads too, but I could be wrong. Don't argue with me, you'll lose. These are things we know.
One thread with 40 out of 104 posts by yourself alone, you are obessesed with Merriman and the saddest part of it all, it's what excites you more than anything else on the Bills. Good luck this year, you are going to need it.
With Merriman now done for the year, it is time to reflect. Buffalo paid $6.95 million for one sack, 9 tackles and two season-ending Achilles injuries. And they'll have to pay another $3 million to get rid of him, putting the grand total at just under $10 million. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/26/merrimans-contract-gets-worse/
