Its an issue of apportionment of culpability. Saying 'they both made a mistake' implies that they're equally to blame, whereas to me, it would seem that a significantly higher amount of blame should lay on Fasano's shoulders. The reason this is so hotly debated is because its very important. Certain people see the game as just another in a long string of interception filled outings from Henne, who they have lost faith in, and they point to the final stat line to show that thats indeed true. Other people think it was a decent showing and they want to say he only really had one interception and did pretty well. I'm still just happy that there is football this year and I get to watch everyone argue.
The right side, including Vernon Carey, still scares the hell outta me. I'm at the point, where I'd be more excited about seeing a long run, than a nice Chad Henne game. I've seen Henne have a solid game before, but we haven't seen the running game produce much since 2009. He, Vernon Carey, didn't look too bad in those videos.
How does it not? Without a statment or indication to the contrary, I think its a natural assumption. If you wanted to distinguish between the two mistakes, you would have. You didn't, so it appears that you think the mistakes are equal.
In the first couple of plays Carey pushes the defender play side. I don't think that's what is meant to happen. He gets better as the game goes on. I think he needs to add more pop when he engages. His pass blocking is very good. He's going to give Henne more time. Colombo is pretty good. He's too upright when he pass blocks though and I suspect it's the knees. He could have trouble during the season. I really like what I see in Pouncey. Very aware and mobile and can lock up guys. Henne must have worked on his feet during the off season. He's a little bit more nimble and on his toes. The 3 step drop and the quick read/passes are better for him. The pick is all on Fasano. If you've ever played receiver you'd know that that was a good pass as it hit both his hands. Shoulda been a catch. My wr coach back in the day would have been pissed at me for that.
How does it? #1. I do not understand how that is a natural assumption. Why would you assume that? #2. I have actually have distinguished between the two mistakes in previous posts. I give an 80/20 ratio. Mostly to Fasano. Still that doesn't make the pass not poor.
i think Carey looked pretty good overall. got pushed back on one play but I saw him driving defenders back on more than a couple of occasions. I honestly think McKinney should be a person of interest. Word is he's been working real hard and is down to around 365 already. This guy could really help out our OL and there is no reason not to bring him in if you ask me
