ESPN NFL - Bills waive LB Aaron Maybin (1st-round pick in 2009); he had 24 tackles, 0 sacks in 26 NFL games Source: ESPN ALERTS Should we take a look at him?
Quinton Spears! lol Jets and Bills. Our UDFA pass rushing OLB is gonna be better than your first round pass rushing OLBs.
Dude he went to my high school and everybody was going crazy when he go drafted my second year in high school. They were planning trips to go see him play up in newyork my highschool was on his d.
Good Times, Good Times! Unbelievable underacheiver. Must be a party going on in Buffalo! And, to the original question. No.
That was a fast track from a highly touted draft pick to the dumpster on a underwhelming Bills team.We have enough projects on our team and this regime is on a short leash. I doubt he is very good at STs either or he would have been kept.
I really don't see why he isn't worth a free workout, though. Sure he sucks, but he didn't always suck. If the staff can connect with the kid, then who knows. It doesn;t cost anything to have him in.
Well, this was very predictable, as for whether the Dolphins take a sniff...only "if" Misi's injury is worse then we know atm. Honestly, his best place could be the CFL, I think he would have to decide if he wants to play football or be a male model/rapper/knucklehead. Would be interesting if Cam Wake could mess with him a bit though.
That would seriously be awesome. Sadly, for Maybin to get focused, he probably needs what Wake needed; a few painful years without the phone ringing, working some crap menial job and realizing how badly he screwed up his chance to play the game he loves.
Well what you'd want to do with him is put him at DE on the Nickel Dline and just tell him to speed rush. To me, what this goes to prove is the NFL could use a minor league/developmental league so teams have more options then Roster or Waive players.
he really doesnt fit this regime's protoype size for a backer, otherwise i wouldn't mind to test his speed of the edge in a preseason game for us
I'd rather the Jets grab him and make him a starter. Let him stink up the joint for another AFC East team for a while.
