    Guess what?

Time to get on the bus. Stop pining for the impossible pipedreams of other QBs, making threads involving reality shattering espionage and and accept it. It's go time. This is your Quarterback. Let's go.

    Live fire starts next month.

There's no savior waiting in the wings.

If you can't be with the one you love, you love the one you're with.

The Chad Henne For ProBowl bandwagon starts here.

    Load up.

I'm with you. No need in continuing talk about other QBs. Henne is our guy for at least one more season.

I'm gonna need a second source to confirm this. I'm going to go check Adam Scheffter's twitter.

Week 3? You're generous. I was thinking after the first preseason game.

I'm not sure I understand. Have people been pining for other QBs lately? Seems most have accepted the reality that Henne is our starting QB right now.

I'm pretty sure the first incomplete pass he throws on Monday night against the Pats will have several Dolfans on here complaining about how he sucks.

I think its hard to pinpoint a particular time. I think it really depends on how he plays. If he plays awful in the first preseason game, then there certainly will be angry fans.

I'm actually confident that Henne will play very well for us this year. I think our running game and new O coordinator will finally give him the real opportunity to succeed.

I'm on board for Henne in 2011.

Yeah, problem is there's no Chad Pennington waiting in the wings. So if Henne tanks, we have no real options.

Having said that, Henne will be inconsistent, but overall fine

It's better that way in my opinion. If he sucks, we're in line for a replacement. I just hope if he does get injured for some reason it's at least a late season injury so this can be decided once and for all.

I've got faith he'll be decent, but I'm a Henne Optimist. So we'll see I suppose.

It will happen, but I don't think Henne's head should be torn off if his preseason is mediocre. I hope it isn't crazy awful, but a mediocre preseason really won't affect my view (which is that the QB position needs to be addressed with an upgrade).

If the team starts off 2-0 with Henne being an average, game manager, I'm OK with that. I was OK with it last year. He just needs to find his way to lead the team to score more points than the other team. It's that simple.

If he can improve on last year's statistics and the team's record from last year, I think it's a successful year for him and deserving of a new contract--dependent on the options available (maybe Palmer opens up, maybe a draft option falls, maybe a release happens, etc.)

I like Chad Henne. Did like him in college. Still think he has talent. And I'm glad to see him get a chance in a better offense.

But threads and posts like this are lame. Don't tell people how to be a fan. Should we all have gotten on the "Daunte Culpepper Bandwagon"? How about the "Paul Pasqualoni Bandwagon"? Or the "Gibril Wilson Bandwagon"? And on and on. To paraphrase Mark Twain, people like you don't need a spine because it's apparent a broomstick will do.

If he plays poorly, there will be no shortage of excuses from those emotionally invested in his performance up to and including the running game, offensive line, Brandon Marshall, offensive coordinator, coaching staff's confidence, luck, opposing secondary hanging onto interceptions, last year's benching, Kyle Orton (lingering affect), Brett Favre rumors, fans booing, the price of tea in China,Twitter and last but not least the Wild Cat.

I can see it now...he is 21 of 24 for 325 yrds, 3 TDs and no INTs against the Pats and we lose 27-21 and he'll be crucified, dead and buried...

    No he won't.

For all you who are making clever statements about how Henne will be unfairly judged if he performs well, there will be just as man if not more apologists granting him unearned excuses for poor play, so let's stop the nonsense and realize there needs to be a middle ground when judging the man as a QB this season and beyond.

And if he plays well, and we do well, every pass he throws will be dissected and branded as underthrown, overthrown, shoulda been intercepted, late getting to the player, didn't hit his receivers in stride, he was robotic still or the infamous 'checkdown'. The running game made his job easy, the Beast was unstoppable, even Henne couldn't mess that up. The opposing D was terrible and we have the 3rd place schedule so he should have been better anyways. Oh, and BTW, Orton had better stats this week and VY stepped in for an injured Vick and had his best statistical day of his career....

Both sides can play the blame game...

This is ridiculous. I certainly would praise Henne for having the best game of his career. The team result isn't going to change my opinion of how he played.

But it would also be prudent to point out that Chad Henne has never had a 3TD game in his entire NFL career.

Again, that just won't happen. Very few fans on this board or in general have a personal vendetta against Henne. In any NFL fan base, QBs reap praise when their team does well and take hell when the team fails. Sometimes it's deserved on both accounts, sometimes not. Bottom line, if the team does well we'll all love Henne.

He got crucified in Week 3 against the Jets. After he had taken the lead and ST/D blew the lead.

Chad Henne didn't take the lead. The team took the lead. I'm not interested in if they won or lost when I'm evaluating how Henne played.

But IMO Henne played well in that game. He made mistakes, but overall was good. I honestly don't recall him being crucified. I didn't start to think Henne was a bad QB until the Bengals game.

Please. He got railroaded. And stop that noise. "Henne didn't take the lead" yet every failing of this team is his fault? Please. If you can't be consistent, don't argue.

I'm not sure what I'm not consistent about. You would be hard-pressed to find me harping or complaining about the team's overall record.
