Speaking of your twitter... I will be the first to admit, I hated twitter and thought it was the stupidest thing in the world. Now I love it. Great way to get information and insite without having to go on espn
Sick, how did Matt Moore look to you was he the same as he was in Carolina in 2010 or did he look decent? What about Devlin, any additional thoughts?
Henne in shotgun without play-action? SHENANIGANS. I call SHENANIGANS. Seriously though, this is what I expected from Daboll. Not that I'm an expert on the guy. But they've publicly emphasized shaking things up during the offseason, with Sparano even snickering at the media a la "you guys keeping thinking we're not gonna be aggressive....", and acquired some requisite speed. And here we're seeing it already. We'll have to wait on the results. But coming from the archaic, sometimes idiotic approach of previous years, you assume some areas are going to improve. Case in point; the consistent reports of Marshall going in motion to gain favorable matchups. Completely foreign last season.
Motion? The shotgun? We should not be celebrating these things but we are forced to by the absolute idiocy of Dan ****ing Henning.
It's true folks. We all know now that Henning wasn't in the business of developing a QB. David Lee tried but sort of but of failed. Daboll brings energy.
I think most of the wacky stuff that happened with Adalius Thomas was Rex Ryan's doing, and then the utility was pretty limited. Thomas was a pretty ****ty ILB with the Patriots, and that's probably the lesser leap. The base defense was pretty well regimented, I think. 4-3 Under, Jason Taylor was usually in a 3-point stance on the weak side. Sometimes Saban ran true 3-4's, but Taylor was more frequently standing up in Nickel than base.
Not to worry though, at the first sign of adversity they'll be back. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
I don't know if either side of the fan base have room to talk. It is training camp and Daboll needs to prove he can do it on Sundays when it counts.
i agree.. The severity of the classlessness that led to chant for another player not on our team was because of a supposed poor practice, and others jumped on that ride and used it as fuel to charge their offseason projection of the team, the staff, and the player, well, he's had 4 good practices since, so where is the fairness being showed.. The whole debate bolis down to folks who have sh$# on every move made before they let it play out..
Matt Moore is unimpressive. Short passes were wobbley, deep passes were overthrown. And i hate Omar Kelly but hes right about one thing, Moore pushes the ball out.....guys like Henne, Cam Newton have this zip to their passes, it gets out with ease and in a hurry, Matt seems to be shotputting it. There is clearly NO competition when it comes to the qb position. Hell, Devlin looked better than Moore, rolling out hitting guys on the run etc.
You know....Im not interested in being the one to say "I told you so"....even if Henne turns into a Pro Bowler. Ill be just damned happy we will have an exciting....powerfull offense
SICK, That was an incredibly VG run down, which I REALLY enjoyed reading. I sent it to a number of friends, who all completely agree. VERY WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! TD, as opposed to fist pumps for a FG.
Looking forward to your report. Not a fan of these off days or no 2 a days ... thankfully we get great reports from fans with a proper perspective like you as opposed to some of the dribble from the beat writers. Thanks again , I owe you a cocktail or two !
Speaking for myself, I took and am taking a wait and see approach. Just like with most new players we acquire. I just couldn't understand those who adamantly spoke down on the Daboll hire at the time, like they just knew for sure. Truth is, none of us know for sure, but it is good to hear some positive reports coming out already.
Nevermind guys, sorry my friend just called and his car broke down. no ride to practice. (wasnt a scrimmage anyways) but still. Yes, and drag routes, and 3 wr bunched together delay crosses and drags, with marshall delaying the most then running a out route. it was awesome.
Personally I think the next practice write up should be done as Fake Dan Henning. I'd really like to get his opinion on these voodoo formations.
I vote Sick dead beat reporter of the week! Really liked it thank you. Is Big Jake going to be playing soon this part scares me Jake is the solid anchor on the oline and we all know if Henne gets a chance to show improvement that Jake is the man.
I think we all hope Big Jake is going to be alright. I'm trying not to think about it. I would prefer he gets healthy before anything. He's the type of player who can step in with limited practice time and still dominate. But if he has a lingering medical issue, i would rather that gets straight before risking any further damage. But i totally agree he is key to our entire offensive plans succeeding.
