Hey Guys In one of the world's most annoying jokes ever, my wife and I were both in car accidents last month. Her 2000 Honda Civic with 150k miles was totalled and now we are left with 5 days of a rental before she needs a new car. Anyways, she wants something smaller, but not Civic small, 4-door, good safety rating, fuel efficient and all-wheel-drive if possible (because Cleveland is super-awesome from Nov-May). She's looked at used Acura's and Accords and new Altima's, but then the Nissan Juke caught her eye. Does anyone have any experience or strong opinions one way or the other about this vehicle? I know about as much about cars as Rex Ryan does about dieting, so I'm trying to tap as many resources as I can. Thanks in advance!
I know they are tiny. Sure it is a fine car and will have limited issues though. Nissans are solid. Actually, most cars are solid these days. Its not like 1974, where you had to really be careful, and many came off the line differently. Cars these days have 5 year/100K mile warranties and are made well.
Thanks - we took it out for a test drive and it was a fun car with a lot of get-up - but way too small for a family. Lots of cheap plastic on the interior as well.
I love my Toyota Corolla (S model). Not sure if it's bigger or smaller than your old civic, but it fits 4 comfortably IMO and gets very good mileage.
If you want something efficient with all wheel drive you'd do yourself a disservice not to check out some Subarus. The fuel economy is typically decent, reliability is good and they're exceptionally practical. The Forester, Impreza, and Legacy are all good cars. I haven't heard much about the Juke but if you like the styling and think is spacious enough then more power to you. Most cars nowadays are really reliable anyway so just pick what checks the most boxes for you. --- - Sent from my StarTac using Doc Brown's DeLorean
