15.46 RELEASE! Seems Mr Zobel was right on the money, only without managing to find a trade partner the Vikings have elected to cut Bryant McKinnie. He reportedly showed up to camp well out of shape and overweight, with rumblings of 400lbs being mooted (as they tend to be with every large lineman said to be overweight, so who knows..). McKinnie has always been an underachiever and appeared to play lazy, but he remains a consistently above average player at one of the hardest positions in football to fill. The Vikings may find out pretty quickly just how much worse things can get than having Bryant McKinnie as your left tackle, and certainly none of the options they appear to have in-house would be anything other than a downgrade.
