Per Darlington, Eagles, Rams, Chargers and Ravens made offers. Eagles offered the least money. It's about winning now.
I hope he enjoys the playoffs and playing in a real offense with actual weapons. It will be quite the change for him
Damn. I love Ronnie, I wish him the best. always more than happy to mingle and sign autographs after every practice or training camp. Very good man. Over/under 150 yards and 2 tds against us when we play the eagles?!
Under I imagine, but that whole offense is downright scary. Should be a great team. Scarier question is how many TD's will john Beck throw against us when we play Washington?
December 11th, Eagles at Dolphins....if we're still alive that could be a good flex game to Sunday Night with Ronnie's return. Based on recent Dolphins history/bad luck we'll be eliminated by then and Bush will be hurt, but I'll think happy thoughts. We should sign Ricky....can't hurt. But we probably won't. Putting all our chips on Bush to living up to the Talk.
Meh. Bye, Ronnie. I wish you well. On another note: Man, Andy Reid is loading for bear, isn't he? If you're an Eagles fan you have to love this offseason.
I'm really excited to watch the Eagles this upcoming season. I've always kinda disliked Philly teams but the Eagles are starting to grow on me. Hope Ronnie has a great year and i'll be rooting for him and the Eagles all season except when we play them.
Ronnie was a BEAST when here & healthy (especially the two seasons prior to this one). I think he's no longer a bonafide, 16 game starter. But, he is ideal as a backup. I am surprised we did not go after him a bit harder as a #3 RB. Really teams need two runners and a 3rd down back. But, he may still have signed with the Eagles. The fact is the Eagles are going crazy with signings and I don't get how they are garnering so many players - while the Dolphins struggle to sign guys. Is there something wrong with our capologists?
As previously mentioned, Ronnie is a class act and I wish him the very best in Philly. He gave us his all for 6 years and I am very thankful for that.
If he becomes a durable running back who hits the hole decisively, lightning-quick for the Eagles, I think I will hang myself.
Kinda rough for me to see him go.. I knew he wasn't that great and his time was coming to an end here, but man I pretty much grew up watching him play for us. I remember I'd have a ball using him in Madden 06 for the regular Xbox.. hah, good times. Best of luck Ronnie, you might even get yourself a ring this year.
Good decision by RB. He's going into a pretty solid system in Philly. I think he will find some success there. Good luck Ronnie.
I think Ronnie will be reborn in that offense. He is very capable of giving them a decent short yardage ground game, and should be a nice dump pass option for Vick. I've got no hard feelings, Brown did what he could under some very poor coaching and/or offensive systems. The Eagles are the most hyped team this year, so who is the underdog team? The one that will "come out of nowhere" to a surprising playoff season (besides the Dolphins I mean )? I'd go with the Rams, I guess.
I think the Lions are going to surprise a lot of people. I do not know if the Rams would be a surprise. They might be able to make the playoffs at 6-10.
hope nothing but the best for ronnie he gave it his all while he was here and was a class act the whole way.
Plus Andy Reid will use his receiving skills unlike we did. Brown will have a very good year. Good for him.
Sad to see him go, but definitely saw the writing on the wall. Hopefully he plays lights out (except against us) for a long time to come. Guess I gotta hang my RB Jersey up Oh well, time to go Jersey shopping for this season!
I hope the Philly media manage to get his honest opinion about the situation in Miami now that he has 'left the building'. Espacially about Sparano, Ireland, BMars, Henning and Henne.
