that's triangulation, not GPS. similar, but not the same. they can find the phone by its use, but my guess is the guy that stole it took the sim card out and isn't walking around using your #.
Lets hope he is dumb enough to leave it in and leave Stitches phone in his car. Will they try to locate your phone to see if its on him?
unless it is a CDMA technology. then there is no sim card. most new phones have some sort of tracking capability that is tied to the phones esn and not the user account, so even if it has a sim card and is swapped, the phone can still be tracked. it is designed to help locate people, not necessarily the phone. the problem is usually it can be disabled. sorry to here about your mis fortune. at least you were unharmed. that is what is most important.
Damn sorry to hear about this Stitches....It will take some time but it will be ok...the Stuff will bother you for a while but you are fine and thats what matters. On the Dog thing go with your heart you wanted the JRT get it...from what I have seen and read most criminals hate "Yappers" more so then big dogs because they can just bring in some food for the Big dogs but the lil ones get wound up and wont stop barking no matter what...and when those little dogs go into "alarm" mode it gets a LOT of attention.
Been robbed, had car breakins, have to deal with thieves at work every day. I feel for you man, being robbed sucks big time, but you are safe and sound and that's what really matters here.
