Giants C Shaun O'Hara visiting Dolphins.

@ClaytonESPN: Former Giants C Shaun O'Hara will visit the Dolphins .

Could this mean a move to LG for Pouncey?

Solid run blocker. Had an off year in pass protection. Assuming he slides in at RG which means Jerry isn't probably developing well enough for them at this time. Or are they considering moving Pouncey to Guard already?

Pouncey to LG, Richie to RG, makes to much sense, we will never do it!!!

I think this means Sparano is covering his butt.

I was thinking that or could be to backup Pouncey, since Berger seems to be struggling a bit.

O'Hara at C and Pouncey at LG for a year before moving to C makes a lot of sense.

Now that I think about it....O'Hara's 34. Probably is backup/veteran insurance. Maybe they try to flip Berger for a late pick.

Makes a lot of sense to. It's incredibly hard to start and be good at Center your first year....especially so with no prep time.

I think it could mean pouncey playing guard. Interesting.

Send him to KC. They seem to like our castoff OL.

I would be ok with this OL, i think with a depth player or two still to add we'd be in good shape there.

I agree with you guys. O'Hara missed ten games last season, so need to check on his physical condition, but if he is ready to go, it could make for a better line to put him at C, Pouncey at LG and Richie at RG. Then again, Pouncey has never played LG, so maybe simpler to move him to RG and leave Richie alone. I see O'Hara as a smart, technician type of C, not a physical dominating type. Someone who would excel at line calls too.

    Bring back Tim Ruddy!
But for real, I think the line will end up being:
    LT-Long LG-Garner C-Pouncey RG-Incognito RT-Carey

Unless we signed O'Hara, that is the option I like too. Garner is a good pass blocker and want him on Henne's blind side.

Well, the way I'd see it is if he is signed (will not be Clark'd again!!) Garner can move into that Marshal Yanda role, plays T-G-C, if O'Hara goes down and Pouncey is playing well at LG then Garner moves to Center.

He is 34 years old. I don't think they're going to play him at C.

The 34-year-old O'Hara, who said he's nearly fully recovered from offseason surgery on his ankle and Achilles,

Don't know much about him but glad to see they recognize that there's also an offense.

Hey gives Coach S. another body to tweek with through out the season........no he wouldn't do that

    If he is healthy, 34 isn't a problem for a C.

I do, but once again not to get Clark'd, who would you rather have learning the offense in 3 weeks, a Vet Center, or a rookie from Florida?

    1× All-Pro selection (2008)

He made the Pro Bowl only playing in 6 games last season.

Interesting that he played weeks 1 and 2, then 6 and 7, then 15 and 16.

Of course our OL coach has a history with him and Tony and O'Hara were both with the Browns in 2000 when O'Hara was a rookie.

Old injured Linemen hmmmmm... (been there did that)

How about healthy in their prime experienced NFL, TE, RB, WR,

na gotta keep under the cap to sign those guys for depth......Damn if we get any more depth we will have to buy a bathysphere.......( not that its not important)

They pretty much said they'll re-evaluate running back in a couple weeks. They want to see what they have first. WR depth chart is just fine. And Fasano takes way too much crap here. He's a solid receiving TE and a HELL of a blocker. I doubt were going to run as much 2 TE sets so they'll let Clay/Brackett and the other guys they got there fight over it. If need be they can sort it out later in the month if they don't like what they see.

You're going to have to do it all over again if you do it now with O'Hara.

Pouncey would learn a lot playing next to O'Hara for a season.

More time to do so though, and the center handles the line calls, the timing for that to happen is just to compressed and they appear to realize it, and believe Berger is not the answer, thusly we see Uhura in town.

Pouncey better not start the season on the bench when you draft a G or C that high he has to be pretty darn good from the get go otherwise its a wasted pick

I hope this gets done because it would help out there and allow us to move on to another area we need to sign someone for.

I would say it's pretty early to bring in a veteran when you'd want to see what you have with your young guys first. Unless you were already letting someone go.

And it makes more sense to add Uhura as the Center and move Pouncey to LG imo

When asked a few minutes ago, Sparano didn't seem interested in Pouncey being anywhere but center right now.

While I always welcome the idea of adding a quality player, I'm concerned this is going to take us back to one of sparano's errors over his time with us. The constant rotation of OL has not proven to prepare our OL very well for the season. Sparano gave his word to fans and Ross that he wouldn't play musical chairs again with the OL... He better keep his word.
